Monroe Police

MONROE - Police are seeking information on a hit-and-run accident reported at 11:43 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18 in the 1700 block of 15th Street. A pickup truck struck three legally parked vehicles and then left the scene. Anyone with information on the case is encouraged to call the police department at 329-2400.

• Gregory S. Luebke, 47, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct after police responded to a domestic disturbance in the 1000 block of 12th Street at 2:46 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19. He was jailed pending court.

• Chad R. Martin, 31, New Glarus, was arrested in the 800 block of 26th Street at 1:12 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, on a first-offense charge of operating while intoxicated after a vehicle he was driving collided with a parked vehicle in the 1100 block of 19th Street. Martin was also cited for hit-and-run on an unattended vehicle, failure to notify police of an accident and driving with a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration. He was released pending court.



New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - On Monday, Sept. 14:

• Police assisted the Green County Sheriff's Department at 11:58 a.m. with locating a juvenile runaway from Sheboygan County that had stolen a vehicle in Sheboygan County. The juvenile was located in a stolen vehicle in the 1700 block of 2nd Street and taken into custody.

• At 3:48 p.m., police noticed a large amount of small landscaping rocks in the roadway in the 100 block of 4th Avenue that were not there an hour before. Contact was made with a group of juveniles sitting on the hill of the Swiss Church. The juveniles advised they were throwing the rocks at a drain in the road. The juveniles were spoken to and told to pick up all the rocks and return them to the landscaping.

On Tuesday, Sept. 15:

• At 10:44 a.m., police assisted a citizen who had locked their keys in their vehicle in the 1300 block of Wisconsin 69.

• At 3:16 p.m., police assisted a citizen who had locked their keys in their vehicle in the 200 block of Industrial Drive.

On Wednesday, Sept. 16:

• Police assisted at 2 p.m. with telling person to vacate a property on 7th Avenue. The person left, and there were no other issues.

• Jennifer A. Seffrood, 39, South Wayne, was cited for driving with a suspended license and expired vehicle registration after police stopped her at 7:25 p.m. for an equipment violation.

On Thursday, Sept. 17:

• Police received complaints throughout the day of two Pyrenees-breed dogs running at large in the village. The owners were located and the dogs returned.

On Friday, Sept. 18:

• At 12:32 a.m., police checked on an occupied vehicle sitting in a parking lot in the 1400 block of Wis. 69. Everything was found to be OK. The driver was taking a nap during their trip.

• Police received a 911 call at 9:19 a.m. from the 10 block of 7th Avenue. It was a misdial. Everything was found to be OK.

• Lisa J. Suter, 54, Dixon, Ill., was cited for speeding at 12:24 p.m. in the 1000 block of Wis. 69.

• Disorderly conduct was reported at 6:12 p.m. in the 700 block of 6th Avenue. Two people were in a dispute over the ownership of a vehicle that was registered to both of them. They separated for the night.

• Police responded at 9:35 p.m. to a burglar alarm in the 1800 block of 2nd Street. Everything was found to be OK.

• Zachery W. Jensen, 26, New Glarus, was cited for driving a vehicle without the required lights and driving without vehicle insurance at 10:27 p.m. on 6th Avenue at Railroad Street.

On Saturday, Sept. 19:

• Two white dogs running loose in the area of the 10 block of 4th Avenue were reported at 1:23 a.m. Police searched the surrounding area and did not locate the dogs.

• Two Pyrenees dogs running at large around the 200 block of 2nd Avenue were reported at 8:14 a.m. Neighbors contacted the owners via pictures posted on Facebook earlier in the week, and the dogs were returned to the owners.

• At 10:47 a.m., police assisted a citizen who had locked their keys in their vehicle.

• Police assisted at 11:50 a.m. in a child custody dispute in the 400 block of 6th Avenue. The child was turned over to the other parent for the weekend visit.

• Police assisted a citizen at 5:30 p.m. with trying to catch a tan-colored dog running on the bike trail along Wis. 69. The dog was not located.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Georgia L. Petsche, 37, Monroe, was cited for first-offense operating while intoxicated after deputies stopped a vehicle in the 1500 block of Wis. 69 in Monroe at 2:46 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 20. She was also cited for speeding and driving with a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Friday, Sept. 18:

• Livestock on the roadway was reported at 1:22 a.m. on English Hollow Road, Town of Fayette.

• A deputy responded at 2:03 a.m. to Breeze Terrace Avenue in Argyle for a disconnected 911 call.

• Lisa M. Dittmer, 49, Mukwonago, was cited for speeding (16-19 mph over) at 12:47 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Wayne.

• A deputy responded at 2:43 p.m. to County K, Town of Darlington, for a traffic complaint. It was unfounded.

• A deputy responded at 4:55 p.m. to County F, Town of Fayette, for a disabled vehicle. Blanchardville police assisted on scene.

• A deputy responded at 6 p.m. to the Lafayette County Sheriff's Office for a civil dispute.

• A deputy responded at 7:10 p.m. to the Lafayette County Sheriff's Office for a report of fraud.

• A civil dispute was reported at 8:10 p.m. on West Water Street in Shullsburg.

• Harassment was reported at 11:35 p.m. on County XX, Town of Belmont.

• A deputy assisted Blanchardville police with a welfare check at 11:54 p.m. on Mason Street.

On Saturday, Sept. 19:

• A deputy responded at 4:28 a.m. to U.S. 126, Town of Elk Grove, for a welfare check on a person walking. The deputy gave the person a ride to their residence.

• A deputy assisted Belmont police at 9 a.m. with traffic control for a parade.

• A suspicious person was reported at 10:21 a.m. on Sheldon Street in Gratiot.

• A deputy responded at 10:45 a.m. to East Main Street in Benton for a report of threats to injure an animal.

• A deputy assisted Darlington police with an active alarm at 12:47 p.m. on Wells Street.

• A deputy provided traffic control for a motorcycle rally fundraiser at 1 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of New Diggings.

• A deputy assisted the Jo Daviess County Sheriff's Office at 1:15 p.m. on Tollakson Road, Town of Wayne, with a gas drive-off case.

• A deputy responded at 1:55 p.m. to County Y, Town of Wiota, for a welfare check.

• A deputy picked up Brittany A. Harris, 28, Benton, from the Grant County Jail on an active warrant and transported her to the Lafayette County Jail, where she remains in custody.

• Kristy Deboer, 49, Warrenville, Ill., was cited for speeding (45-plus mph over) at 5:52 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Elk Grove.

• Xiao Xing Qiang, 32, Baton Rouge, La., was cited for speeding (25-29 mph over) at 7:36 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington.

• Deputies responded at 8:18 p.m. to Furnace Hill Road, Town of Darlington, for a welfare check.

• Alexander M. Cook, 20, Hoffman Estates, Ill., was cited for speeding (34-39 mph over) at 8:19 p.m. on County P, Town of Gratiot.

• A deputy responded at 10:01 p.m. to a noise complaint on Bridge Street in Gratiot.

• Deputies responded at 10:11 p.m. to Galena Street in Argyle for a 911 hang-up.

On Sunday, Sept. 20:

• Two suspicious people were reported at 1:07 a.m. on East Milwaukee Street in Argyle.

• Devin L. Pinkham, 25, Cuba City, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct after deputies responded at 2:57 a.m. to a domestic dispute on Wis. 11, Town of Benton. He was taken to the jail. He later posted bond and was released.

• A deputy responded at 9:57 a.m. to North Judgement Street in Shullsburg for a one-vehicle accident with no injuries.

• Deputies responded at 10:15 a.m. to Bennett Road, Town of New Diggings, for a domestic dispute.

• A dog running at large was reported at 2:25 p.m. on East Main Street in Benton.

• A deputy discovered a disabled vehicle at 3:09 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of New Diggings. Al's Towing assisted on scene.

• Deputies responded at 4:23 p.m. to Wis. 11, Town of Benton, for a domestic dispute.

• A deputy responded at 5 p.m. to South Park Street in Shullsburg for a welfare check.

• A dog running at large was reported at 5:20 p.m. on Mayer Road, Town of Wayne.

• A deputy responded at 7:44 p.m. to Jericho Road, Town of Belmont, for a report of an injured deer.

• A deputy responded at 10:08 p.m. to assist in a vehicle unlock on East Main Street in Benton.

• A deputy responded at 10:54 p.m. to West Union Street in Shullsburg for a civil dispute.
