Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD - For the week of Sept. 27 to Oct. 3, there were 144 calls for service, 30 citizen arrests, 24 registrations, 13 assists of other agencies, 12 security checks, 11 traffic stops, eight EMS calls and five 911 calls.

On Sept. 28:

• Police investigated an illegal dumping incident at 4:01 p.m. in the 400 block of East 3rd Avenue after a person reported liquid concrete washing down a storm drain. The investigation is ongoing.

On Sept. 29:

• A barking dog was reported at 6:45 p.m. in the 600 block of West 2nd Avenue. Police contacted the animal's owner and issued a warning.

• A 33-year-old Janesville man was cited at 11:29 p.m. in the 100 block of 1st Street for driving with a revoked license.

On Thursday:

• Property theft was reported at 4:08 p.m. in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue. Police are seeking an individual to question.

On Saturday:

• A 23-year-old Orfordville man was arrested at 2:19 a.m. in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue on charges of operating while intoxicated, operating with a prohibited blood alcohol content and operating without required vehicle lights.

• A 23-year-old Orfordville man was arrested at 2:44 a.m. in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue on three warrants issued by the Beloit Municipal Court.



Monroe Police

MONROE - On Saturday:

• Ryan D. Hastings, 29, Cedarville, Ill., was arrested on a fourth-offense charge of operating while intoxicated and on charges of obstructing an officer and driving with a revoked license following a traffic stop at 7:21 p.m. in the 1800 block of 6th Street. Hastings was jailed. His signature bond was set Monday at $1,500 with conditions that he not drink or go into bars or liquor stores. He stood mute on the charges, and the court entered a plea of not guilty on his behalf. He has a preliminary hearing Oct. 19.

• Peter J. Bonlie, 59, Albany, was arrested at 7:39 p.m. on two counts of bail jumping after police investigated a report of a disturbance in the 500 block of West 21st Street. Bonlie was jailed. His signature bond was set Monday at $2,000 with conditions that he not drink or go into bars or liquor stores. Bonlie stood mute on the charges, and the court entered a plea of not guilty on his behalf. He has a pre-trial conference Oct. 6.

On Sunday:

• Steven A. Vogel, 26, Iowa, was picked up at 10:10 p.m. in the 1100 block of 16th Avenue on a warrant issued by the Story County Sheriff's Department in Nevada for contempt of court. Vogel was jailed to await transport to Nevada.



New Glarus Police Department

NEW GLARUS - On Sept. 29:

• Jon L. Sorenson, 38, Belleville, was cited for failing to wear a seatbelt and failing to provide proof of vehicle insurance at 4:08 p.m. on Wisconsin 69 at 11th Avenue .

• Daniel A. Luginbull, 59, Verona, was cited for failing to wear a seatbelt at 4:47 p.m. on Wis. 69 at 11th Avenue.

On Wednesday:

• Police investigated reports of an abandoned kitten in Veterans' Park at 5:35 p.m. Upon investigation, police discovered three abandoned kittens, who were safely relocated to a farm after a family saw the animals' plight on Facebook.

• Police investigated a complaint filed by a village citizen who reported receiving repeated, annoying phone calls at 4:19 p.m. It was later ascertained that the caller had a wrong number.

On Thursday:

• Police investigated an open door at a business in the 1400 block of Wis. 69. After clearing the building, police confirmed the door was left open due to an oversight.

• Jaron. D. Neuenschwander-Luebke, 23, Monroe, was arrested at 10:45 p.m. on charges of driving without a valid license, driving without vehicle insurance and possession of drug paraphernalia after police observed an equipment violation in the 500 block of Wis. 69. Neuenschwander-Luebke was jailed on four outstanding arrest warrants issued by various agencies in the area.

• Police received a women's wallet found at the New Glarus High School homecoming football game at 7:09 p.m. Anyone who lost a women's wallet during the game is encouraged to contact the police department.

• Police cited a vehicle for a parking violation at 7:25 p.m. in the 1400 block of 2nd Street.

On Saturday:

• Police cited a juvenile for littering at 12:41 a.m. in the 1300 block of Windlach Street.

• At 7:15 a.m., a women's wallet was reported lost the previous evening at the elementary school during the football game.

• Justin P. Mills, 34, Lena, Ill., was cited for a seatbelt violation at 9:18 a.m. on Wis. 69 at 11th Avenue.

• Alexander C. Webb, 30, Madison, was cited for a seatbelt violation and for failing to provide proof of vehicle insurance at 1:11 p.m. on Wis. 69 at 11th Avenue.

On Sunday:

• Jessica L. Holler, 29, Verona, was cited for a seatbelt violation and driving with a revoked license at 1:40 p.m. on Wis. 69 at 11th Avenue.

• Deven P. Riley, 21, was cited for a seatbelt violation at 3:48 p.m. on Wis. 69 at 11th Avenue.

• Danise L. Mombleau, 63, Freeport, was cited for speeding at 8:31 p.m. in the 100 block of Wis. 69.

On Monday:

• Police investigated unsecured premises in the 1000 block of Wis. 69 at 1:37 a.m. The owner was found inside.



Lafayette County Sheriff

On Friday:

• A deputy responded at 6:53 a.m. to Ames Road, Town of Darlington, for a report of debris on the roadway.

• A deputy responded at 12:22 p.m. to Cottage Inn Road, Town of Belmont, for a report of livestock on the roadway.

• Deputies responded at 5:45 p.m. to 2nd Street, Town of Fayette, for a report of suspicious vehicles. The Darlington Police Department assisted at the scene.

• Jeffery D. Miller, 46, Spring Grove, was cited for having no valid driver's license at 8:11 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Shullsburg.

On Saturday:

• A deputy responded at 7:48 a.m. to East Main Street in Benton, for a report of theft.

• Deputies provided traffic control at 11:22 a.m. on Main Street in Benton.

• A deputy assisted the Argyle Police Department at noon with traffic control on Main Street.

• Melissa B. Ide, 18, Platteville, was cited for speeding on County O, Town of Shullsburg.

• Leo L. Woolever, 79, Winnebago, Ill., was cited for speeding on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot.

• A deputy responded at 7:20 p.m. to a report of a disabled vehicle on Wis. 81, Town of Lamont.

• A deputy responded at 8:14 p.m. to a report of an erratic driver on Wis. 78. The report was unfounded.

On Sunday:

• Deputies assisted the Darlington Police Department at 2:55 a.m. on Main Street.

• Angela Rosales Mayorquin, 21, Waukegan, was cited at 11:40 a.m. for speeding on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot.
