Albany Police

ALBANY - Michael E. Cavin, 22, Albany, was arrested Saturday, Oct. 27, on an Albany warrant.

• Kyle W. Strauch, 41, Monroe, was cited Tuesday, Oct. 23, for driving with a suspended license.

• Kyle A. Rudolph, 19, Albany, was cited Wednesday, Oct. 24, for driving with a suspended license.

• Ryan M. Willis, 19, Albany, was cited Wednesday, Oct. 24, for being party to prohibited acts.

• Three Albany juveniles were cited Wednesday, Oct. 24, for violating curfew.

• Alyssa J. Martens, 20, Monroe, was cited Sunday, Oct. 28, for underage drinking.

Darlington Police

DARLINGTON - Brandon Dallman, 20, Watertown, was arrested on Washington Street at 7:23 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, on two warrants issued by Lafayette County.

• Officers are seeking the public's help in solving a hit-and-run traffic crash that occurred late Saturday night, Oct. 27, on Christensen Drive in front of Bridges Restaurant. No injuries were reported. The crash caused substantial damage to a legally parked car on the street. It is believed someone at a wedding reception at the restaurant may have caused the damage. The offending vehicle will likely have front-end damage with silver paint transfer on it. Please call (608) 776-4981 if you have information.

Monroe Police

MONROE - Nicholas A. Welsh, 30, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of domestic abuse-related disorderly conduct after a 31-year-old Monroe woman called police at 3:37 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, in the 1800 block of 10th Street. Welsh posted bond and was released pending court.

• Brittany R. Lean, 22, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated (first offense) at 4 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, in the 200 block of Wisconsin 69. A passenger, Lucas C. Patterson, 28, Monroe, was arrested for misdemeanor bail jumping. Lean also faces charges of driving with a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration, driving the wrong way on a divided highway, having open intoxicants in a vehicle and non-registration of a vehicle. Both Lean and Patterson were jailed.

• Kimberly S. Tallman, 43, Monroe, was cited for retail theft at 3:12 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, at Shopko, 405 W. 8th St. She allegedly stole $125 in cash from the till over a period of time while employed at the store.

• An officer responded at 3:27 a.m. Friday, Oct. 26, to a complaint of a male and female fighting at 6th Street and 17th Avenue. The officer located a male arguing on the phone with a female. Two other females were with him. The trio was shooed off.

• A 69-year-old Monroe man complained at 10:15 a.m. Friday, Oct. 26, that an unidentified man walking a dog in the 1600 block of 11th Street allowed the dog to jump up on him and bite, leaving a bruise.

• Police were dispatched at 8:41 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, to the Super 8 Motel, 500 6th St., for a dispute between two guests. A 57-year-old woman reported that her mother, 76, had kicked her in the ribs while reaching for a remote control. Officers deemed the allegation unfounded.

• A Monroe woman in the 1700 block of 13th Street called police at 8:43 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, to report receiving 19 harassing text messages from her cousin in Memphis, Tenn.

• A bicycle was reported stolen from the downtown area at 9:37 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26. Two hours later, an officer on patrol found the bicycle abandoned in the 400 block of West 8th Street.

• Cash and a check were reported stolen from an apartment in the 1100 block of 30th Street at 11:47 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27. Police are investigating a suspect.

• A dog owner in the 2500 block of 9th Street was warned to keep the dog on a leash after an officer on patrol came across the dog in the middle of the road at 4:23 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27.

• Damage to a basement window in the 2500 block of 10th Street was reported at 6:37 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27. There was no sign of entry.

• An anonymous caller complained at 1:05 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, of loud music in the 800 block of 8th Street. An officer located the source and ordered the music get turned down.

• An employee at Suisse Haus, 1602 12th St., called police to report a disorderly intoxicated person in the establishment at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 28. An officer warned the intoxicated person to calm down and go home.

New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - Ellie M. Erdmann, 43, New Glarus, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated (third offense) at 2:26 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, after police observed her park a vehicle in the 400 block of 2nd Street. When police warned her about parking in a no-parking zone, she displayed signs of intoxication.

• Herbert J. Bates, 53, Monroe, was arrested on 6th Avenue at Wis. 69 at 5:35 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, on a warrant issued by the Albany Police Department. Bates was also cited for driving without vehicle insurance.

• Ginger M. Arthurs, 25, Albany, was arrested at 1:20 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, on a warrant issued by the Darlington Police Department for failure to pay a fine on a health nuisance violation of not mowing a yard. Police made the arrest after stopping a vehicle for an equipment violation on County W and Wis. 69. She was also cited for driving with a suspended license. She posted bond and was released.

• Reginald E. Reis, 68, New Glarus, was arrested at an unspecified location at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, on charges of driving while intoxicated (first offense), resisting an officer and operating a vehicle without a front license plate.

• Kevin A. Castro Joya, 21, Madison, was cited for a seatbelt violation and for driving with a suspended license at 5:07 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, on Industrial Drive at Hoesley Drive.

• Rebecca A. Deutmeyer, 38, Mount Horeb, was cited for speeding at 7:56 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, in the 900 block of Wis. 69.

• Police warned a student for truancy after taking a report at 12:08 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, that the student had missed a few days of class from New Glarus High School.

• At 12:08 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, police took a report of a gas drive-off that had occurred the previous evening at about 7 p.m. at a convenience store within the village. The offending vehicle was a white Cadillac, and the driver was a black male. Anyone with information on the incident is urged to call dispatch at (608) 527-2145.

• Retail theft was reported at a business on Wis. 69 at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On Sunday, Oct. 28:

• Matthew G. Marty, 21, Monticello, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated (first offense) at 2:44 a.m., after deputies observed a vehicle veer into the west ditch and then back onto the roadway on Wis. 69 at County C in the Town of Mount Pleasant. Marty is also charged with failure to keep a vehicle under control, possession of a stimulant (Adderall) and possession of a controlled substance (Lorazepam). He was jailed pending court or cash bond.

• Kurt L. Paffel, 34, Brodhead, was cited for driving too fast for conditions following a one-vehicle accident reported at 9:29 a.m. on County KS just west of Lumber Yard Road in the Town of Jefferson. Paffel lost control on a curve, went off the road and struck a guardrail, then veered across the road and struck another guardrail. Paffel and his passengers were not injured. The vehicle sustained severe front-end damage and was towed.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Edwin Gonzales Miranda, 22, Madison, was arrested on charges of driving with a suspended license, no proof of vehicle insurance and improper vehicle registration at 4:28 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, on Wis. 11 in the Town of Wayne. A passenger, Fransisco G. Mora, 20, Albany, was arrested on a charge of possessing drug paraphernalia. Both posted bond and were released.

• Payton T. Schliem, 22, South Wayne, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated at 2:45 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, on Wis. 81 in the Town of Argyle. He was later released to a responsible person pending court.

• Juan Utrera, 45, Darlington, was arrested on a charge of driving without a license at 3:33 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, on Wis. 126 in the Town of Elk Grove. He posted bond and was released.

• Matthew J. Wilson, 21, and Kurt T. Peterson, 24, both of Blanchardville, were arrested on charges of disorderly conduct after deputies responded at 10 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, to a report that the two men had gotten into a physical fight over personal property at a location on South Main Street in Blanchardville. Both later posted bond and were released to responsible people.

• Jackie J. Brown, 37, Madison, was cited for an expired vehicle registration at 11:39 a.m. Friday, Oct. 26, on West Mound Road in the Town of Belmont.

• Austin K. Zigan, 19, Rubicon, was cited for driving without proof of vehicle insurance at 12:58 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, on U.S. 151 in the Town of Belmont.

• Joseph E. LaDow, 70, South Wayne, was cited for a seatbelt violation at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, on Wis. 11 in South Wayne.
