Albany Police

ALBANY - Matthew W. Schmid, 37, Albany, was cited Friday, Sept. 29, for possession of marijuana.

• Jason A. Johnson, 38, Albany, was cited Sunday for urinating in public.



Monroe Police

MONROE - Raelene K. Bieszk, 32, Argyle, was arrested in the 1900 block of 10th Avenue at 12:59 a.m. Friday for a probation violation on a felony conviction of theft out of Marathon County. She was jailed.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Danielle Jo Amundson, 39, Janesville, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct after deputies responded at 2:56 a.m. Sunday to a report of domestic abuse the N4600 block of County E, Town of Decatur. Bond was posted for Amundson, and she was released pending court. Albany police assisted at the scene.



Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD - During the week of Oct. 1 to 7, police performed 55 citizen assists, 38 security checks, 18 vehicle registrations, 12 calls for service, 10 assists to other agencies and 10 traffic stops and responded to 10 EMS calls and 9 911 calls. There was one transport for mental health and none for detox.

On Sunday, Oct. 1:

• Police responded at 10:28 a.m. to a traffic crash in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue. Due to this incident occurring on private property, no citations were issued.

• A Beloit woman, 35, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct at 3:06 p.m. in the 800 block of East Exchange Street.

On Tuesday, Oct. 3:

• A dog at large was reported at 3:19 a.m. in the 1600 block of 1st Center Avenue. Police checked the area but were unable to locate the dog.

• A Beloit woman, 35, was arrested at 9:18 a.m. in the 1000 block of 19th Street on a warrant issued by the Beloit Police Department.

• A downed cable line was reported at 9:36 a.m. in the 1000 block of East 9th Avenue. A material truck had hooked the line while driving through the area.

• Police responded at 12:25 p.m. to the 2100 block of West 9th Avenue for three reports of truancy. Warnings were issued.

• A gas drive-off was reported at 3:25 p.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Ave. It was determined to be an oversight and the matter was resolved.

• A traffic crash was reported at 4:54 p.m. in the 100 block of 23rd Street. The crash was determined to be non-reportable; no citations were issued.

• A female juvenile was arrested on charges of battery and disorderly conduct at 6:57 p.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue, following an altercation at a residence.

On Thursday:

• A traffic crash was reported at 9:45 a.m. in the 2400 block of 1st Center Avenue. Due to this crash occurring on private property, no citations were issued.

On Friday:

• A traffic crash was reported at 5:58 a.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue. Due to this incident occurring on private property, no citations were issued.

• A Footville man, 44, was arrested at 11:05 a.m. in the 2200 block of 1st Center Avenue on warrants issued by the Rock County Sheriff's Office and Albany Police Department.

• A tobacco violation was reported at 12:16 p.m. in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue.

On Saturday:

• A Janesville woman, 37, was cited for speeding and driving with a suspended license at 12:08 p.m. in the 600 block of 1st Street.

• A Green Bay man, 55, was cited for speeding at 4:42 p.m. in the 600 block of 1st Street.

• A Waukesha woman, 28, was arrested on a charge of driving without a valid license at 6:35 p.m. in the 600 block of 1st Street.



New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - On Tuesday, Oct. 3:

• Police removed items creating a traffic hazard in the lane of traffic on Wisconsin 69 in the area of County W at 1:43 p.m.

On Wednesday, Oct. 4:

• A bus was cited at 1:01 p.m. for parking in violation of a posted sign in the 400 block of 3rd Street.

• A dog at large was reported at 5:09 p.m. in the 300 block of 8th Street.

• Police found a business unsecured at 11:04 p.m. in the 10 block of 5th Avenue. The building was checked and secured.

On Thursday:

• A vehicle was cited at 12:46 a.m. for violating the 24-hour parking ordinance in the 10 block of 5th Avenue.

• A suspicious call was reported at 11:13 a.m. in the 1000 block of 2nd Street. Police looked into it and found no issues.

• Police responded at 8:29 p.m. to a residence the 1000 block of 2nd Street for a report of someone shining a flashlight into the house from the porch. No person was located.

• Police were called to check the welfare of a person in the 400 block of 7th Avenue at 9:17 p.m.

• Police attempted to assist an out-of-county agency with delivering a death notification at 11:23 p.m., however nobody was home at the residence.

On Friday:

• A suspicious smell coming from a residence in the 300 block of 5th Avenue was reported at 12:52 a.m.

• A 911 call at 3:24 p.m. from the 1700 block of 2nd Street reported that a child had taken off. The child was located. Police took no further action.

• Police received a request at 4:25 p.m. to check the welfare of a subject in the 500 block of 14th Avenue. The subject was located and everything was fine.

On Saturday:

• Police were dispatched at 9:58 a.m. to 8th Avenue at 2nd Street for a report of a manhole cover being off. The cover was placed back on.

• Police assisted the Green County Sheriff's Office at 2:59 p.m. with an active residential burglar alarm in the Town of York.

• Police came across a tree branch lying in the middle of the street in the 300 block of 8th Avenue at 7:55 p.m. and moved it to the curb.

On Sunday:

• Police received a wallet at 10:27 a.m. that was found on 2nd Avenue. It was returned to the owner.

• A complaint of male juveniles on the shelter roof at Veteran's Park came in at 10:41 a.m. Police warned all the boys for being on the roof.
