Monroe Police

MONROE - On Wednesday, Oct. 31:

• A man reported at 10:20 a.m. that he was walking a dog at 11th Avenue and 22nd Street when a woman he knows drove past and yelled obscenities at him. No citations were issued.

• Tenants of an apartment building in the 300 block of 3rd Avenue complained at 12:47 p.m. that a non-tenant has been coming around regularly and picking up cigarette butts from a disposal can on the property. Police warned the man to stop.

• About $1,000 in electronics were reported stolen from a home in the 500 block of 22nd Street at 4:43 p.m. There was no sign of forced entry. Police are investigating leads and a suspect.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Wednesday, Oct. 31:

• Jason A. Brumley, 26, Blanchardville, was arrested at 12:13 a.m. on a charge of driving with a revoked license and without vehicle insurance on Wisconsin 78 in the Town of Argyle. He was released pending court.

• Joshua D. Denure, 28, Monroe, was cited for speeding at 6:12 a.m. on Wis. 81 in Lamont.

• A deputy was dispatched at 11:35 a.m. to a residence on Jenkynsville Road in Benton to request that a controlled burn be extinguished. The items being burned were in violation of a village ordinance.

• A deputy responded to a 911 call at 1:20 p.m. on County W in Monticello. The incident was found to be a civil matter over land ownership.

• A hit-and-run accident was reported at 6:33 p.m. on Penny Benton Road in the Town of New Diggings. A vehicle had damaged a fence post.

• A deputy took a report at 8:32 p.m. that a child was injured the previous day while at school in Benton. The case remains under investigation.

Darlington Police

DARLINGTON - Valerie Roosa, 42, Darlington, was cited for driving without proof of vehicle insurance Wednesday, Oct. 31, following a traffic stop on Galena Street.
