MONROE - Police took a report at Monroe Clinic's ER at 12:41 a.m. Friday, Nov. 9, that a woman fell and hurt her wrist while walking on a city sidewalk in the 2200 block of 16th Street. The report will be forwarded to the city engineer and clerk.

• Unauthorized use of a QUEST Card food stamp account was reported at 7:03 a.m. Friday, Nov. 9, in the 500 block of West 21st Street.

• A landlord reported at 1:43 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, that a tenant in an apartment in the 700 block of 10th Avenue Court took a wall-mounted A/C unit while moving out.

• A dog owner in the 2300 block of 14th Avenue was warned for allowing dogs to run at large after police responded to a complaint at 3:11 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9.

• Police turned a 12-year-old student at Monroe Middle School over to his mother after police responded to a complaint at the school at 6:43 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, that the boy was out of control.

• A mother at a "sock hop" dance at Northside Elementary School complained at 6:57 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, that the father of her children was at the dance as well and in violation of a restraining order issued by Stephenson County, Ill., that he not be within 300 feet of her. She contended he knew she was going to be there and came anyway. Police talked with both parties and determined no violation had occurred.

• A man called police at 2:07 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, to complain that his sister kicked him out of her apartment. Police met with the man in a parking lot in the 1000 block of 8th Street. The sister contended he doesn't pay rent or bills and that she wants him out. Police advised the brother to find somewhere else to stay.

• A caller at 3:20 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, reported seeing a dog jump off a pickup truck in the 2800 block of 6th Street, get run over by a trailer attached to the truck, then limp to the side of the road and die. Police did not locate the dog.

• Police were called to a dispute between family members over beer and electronics at 3:40 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at an apartment in the 2700 block of 8th 1/2 Street. Officers cited no one and warned the family members to knock it off.

• A gas drive-off was reported at 9:17 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, at the Monroe Northsider Mobil, 180 N. 18th Ave.

• The owner of a pickup truck in the 800 block of 8th Street complained at 12:13 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, that his windshield had been cracked by a thrown rock. Some neighborhood kids were fingered as the culprits. When questioned by police, all denied involvement.

• A theft of power tools from an unlocked garage in the 1300 block of 20th Street was reported at 12:16 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11. The owner last saw the tools at the end of August.

• An employee at The Dilly Bean, 1000 17th Ave., called police at 3:15 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, to report a customer who threw a fit when denied service. The customer has been identified as having an addiction problem with "herbal incense" (legal synthetic marijuana), and the employee refused to sell him any of the product.

• A sister, 13, and brother, 9, were referred to juvenile authorities and turned over to their mother after police responded to a complaint of stolen bicycles at 4:32 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, in the 1200 block of 12th Street. The siblings are identified as suspects. The bicycles were returned to their owner.
