Darlington Police

DARLINGTON - Serafin Falcon-Estudillo, 34, Darlington, was arrested and issued citations at about 4 a.m. Sunday, May 6, for driving without a valid license (second offense) and for driving an uninsured vehicle. Serafin remains in jail pending court and deportation proceedings.

- Clemente Bendimez-Gaona, 45, Galena, was cited at about 1:55 a.m. Sunday, May 6, for driving without a valid license (first offense) and for driving an uninsured vehicle.

Monroe Police

MONROE - Christopher E. Leopold, 40, Monroe, was arrested in the 400 block of West 21st Street at 11:43 a.m. Monday, May 7, on a warrant issued by the Lafayette County Sheriff's Department for failure to pay a fine. He was transported to the Lafayette County Jail.

- A citation will be issued to a man whose pitbull bit dogs on two occasions in Forest Preserve Park, N3100 Wisconsin 59. The latest bite was reported at 8:39 a.m. Monday, May 7, and occurred on Saturday, May 5.

- A property owner in the 2000 block of Edgeview Drive was left a warning at 12:02 p.m. Monday, May 7, to clean up vehicles, campers and trailers parked in the yard.

- A report of a garage door in disrepair in the 2100 block of 15th Avenue was referred to the city building inspector at 2:25 p.m. Monday, May 7.

- Police responded at 3:16 p.m. Monday, May 7, to a complaint that dogs in the 700 block of 16th Avenue were penned up in a backyard for long periods and were barking continuously. Police warned the dogs' owners to license the animals and keep them quiet.

- A property owner in the 1100 block of 9th Street was served a warning at 4:14 p.m. Monday, May 7, to clean up junk in the yard and fix a garage in disrepair.

- A tenant in the 200 block of 3rd Street reported at 8:19 p.m. Monday, May 7, that her landlord had yelled at her in front of her children. Police warned the landlord to handle the situation with more civility.

- Police have suspects but are still investigating a littering complaint taken at 9:30 p.m. Monday, May 7, that occupants of a vehicle in the 2400 block of 12th Street dumped garbage out of the vehicle onto the street.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Donald E. Bechtolt, 52, Monroe, was arrested at the Green County Justice Center at 2:42 p.m. Monday, May 7, on an order to detain issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. He was jailed.

- Laura D. Downs, 21, Brodhead, was cited for driving with no valid license and no proof of vehicle insurance at 12:06 a.m. Sunday, May 6, at an unspecified location.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Amy J. Boland, 47, Blanchardville, was cited for speeding at 9:33 p.m. Friday, May 4, on Wisconsin 78 in the Town of Blanchard.

- Joshua M. Simplot, 26, Argyle, was cited for driving an uninsured vehicle at 11:49 p.m. Friday, May 4, on Wisconsin 81 in the Town of Argyle.

- Allison M. Morgan, 18, Orangeville, Ill., was cited for speeding at 7:16 a.m. Saturday, May 5, on Wisconsin 81 in the Town of Seymour.

- Jacob L. Timmerman, 17, Cuba City, was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign at 8:33 p.m. Sunday, May 6, on West Mound Road in the Town of Belmont.

- Adam D. Birkett, 26, Shullsburg, was reported in custody in Grant County at 5:30 p.m. Monday, May 7, on a valid warrant issued by Lafayette County. He posted bond and was released.
