Albany Police

ALBANY - Harley F. Vanderveld, 24, Monroe, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia on Monday, Feb. 27.

- A 16-year-old Albany boy was cited for possession of tobacco on Tuesday, Feb. 28, at Albany High School, 400 5th St.

- Jennifer S. Giedd-Nadycz, 42, Monroe, was cited on Saturday, March 3, for speeding and driving without a valid license.

Darlington Police

DARLINGTON - Miguel A. Cervantes-Hernandez, 23, Cascade, Iowa, was arrested on Wisconsin 23 at about 3 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2012, on charges of driving without a valid license and failing to insure a vehicle. He posted bond and was released pending court.

- Hugo Martinez-Mendez, 27, Darlington, was cited for disorderly conduct at about 11: 45 p.m. Saturday, March 3, following a disturbance at a residence on Keep Street. He was released pending court.

Monroe Police

MONROE -Thomas A. McLean, 24, Madison, was arrested on charges of driving while under the influence of an intoxicant (second offense) and speeding at 1:50 a.m. Sunday, March 4, in the 800 block of 8th Street. He was released pending court.

- Shane D. Riley, 25, New Glarus, was arrested at the intersection of 11th Street and 16th Avenue on a charge of driving while under the influence of an intoxicant (second offense) at 2:20 a.m. Sunday, March 4, after Riley was involved in two hit-and-run accidents in the 1300 block of 17th Street and 1500 of 13th Avenue. He was also issued several traffic citations, then jailed for a probation hold issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.

- A possible scam via mail from an entity posing as the Internal Revenue Service was reported by a resident in the 700 block of 18th Avenue at 3:35 p.m. Friday, March 2.

- A 19-year-old Monroe man was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia at 7:56 p.m. Saturday, March 3, after police were dispatched to the parking lot of a business in the 300 block of 6th Avenue West for a report that the man was having a possible "seizure." Upon arrival, officers discovered the man had been smoking a suspected synthetic cannabinoid and was having an adverse reaction. Monroe EMS transported him to the Monroe Clinic ER.

- A student at Monroe Alternative Charter School, 1220 16th Ave., reported the theft of a prepaid phone that had been left unattended at 12:13 p.m. Friday, March 2.

- Debra E. Hendrickson, 57, Monroe, was cited for allowing dogs to run at large at 6:46 a.m. Monday, March 5, after an officer noticed several dogs "sailing down the street" in the 2400 block of 12th Street, according to Police Chief Fred Kelley. The dogs were reportedly not on leashes and had been defecating in neighboring yards.

- At 12:25 p.m. Monday, March 5, a business in the 1600 block of 9th Street reported the retail theft of a single 40 oz. bottle of beer. The theft occurred on March 2. There is a suspect, but the case is still under investigation.

New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - Liquor, cigarettes, Frito-Lay chips and a small amount of money were reported stolen after a suspect or suspects forced entry into a downtown business in the early morning hours of Sunday, March 4. The business reported the burglary at 7:44 a.m. The incident is under investigation. Anyone who may have observed any suspicious people or vehicles in the downtown area late Saturday night or early Sunday morning is encouraged to call dispatch at 527-2145.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Heidi A. Udelhoven, 32, Brooklyn, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct at 8:23 p.m. Sunday, March 3, after deputies responded to a domestic dispute at an unspecified location in Brooklyn. Udelhoven posted bond and was released.

- Andrew R. Converse, 22, Monticello, was cited in the W5400 block of County C at 4:54 p.m. Monday, March 5, for operating a motor vehicle while his driving status is suspended.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Amos J. Breen, 29, Darlington, was taken into custody at 10:55 a.m. Friday, March 2, at the Department of Corrections Office in Darlington for a probation violation. He remains jailed.

Lafayette County Sheriff

- Jeffery A. Robelia, 26, Gratiot, was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated (third offense), driving with a revoked license and improperly parking on the roadway at 3:06 a.m. Saturday, March 3, after deputies investigated a complaint of an erratic driver on Wisconsin 11 in the Town of Wayne. Robelia was found a short time later parked on Wis. 11, sleeping in the driver's seat. He was later released to a responsible adult.

- Valentin Martinez, 22, Darlington, was arrested on charges of speeding and driving without a license at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 4, on Wisconsin 23 in the Town of Willow Springs. She posted bond and was released.

- Christopher B. Sudo, 40, South Wayne, was cited for a seatbelt violation at 4:42 p.m. Friday, March 2, in South Wayne.

n Troy D. Jamison, 20, Darlington, was cited for a seatbelt violation at 5:31 p.m. Saturday, March 3, on Catherine Street in Darlington.

n Danielle M. Johnson, 25, South Wayne, was cited for driving a vehicle without proof of insurance at 7:20 p.m. Saturday, March 3, on County D in South Wayne.

n Jeremy A. Ubersox, 16, Shullsburg, was cited for inattentive driving at 8:46 p.m. Saturday, March 3, after he rear-ended a vehicle driven by Dixie L. Paquette, 59, Shullsburg, on Wis. 11 in Shullsburg. Paquette was slowing down to make a left turn when the accident happened. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles were moderately damaged.

- Mallory K. Busch, 16, Darlington, was cited for speeding at 10:17 p.m. Saturday, March 3, on Wis. 11 in the Town of Shullsburg.

- Timothy R. Suddeth, 44, Monroe, was cited for keeping open intoxicants in a vehicle at 1:30 a.m. Sunday, March 4, on East Street in Argyle.

- Thomas W. Wilson, 23, Belmont, was cited for driving a vehicle without proof of insurance at 5:42 p.m. Sunday, March 4, on Wisconsin 81 in the Town of Seymour.

- Summer G. Peterson, 30, Monroe, was cited for driving an uninsured vehicle at 9:11 p.m. Sunday, March 4, on County XX in the Town of Belmont.

- Possible fraud was reported at 9:45 a.m. Friday, March 2, at a residence on County F. The fraud involved repairs to lightning rods and cables.

- A deputy is investigating a hit-and-run accident reported at 12:25 p.m. Friday, March 2, on Wis. 81 at Wisconsin 126, where a vehicle hit the guardrail but left the area prior to the arrival of law enforcement.

- John M. Franzen, 24, Dubuque, Iowa, was cited for failure to have control at 1 a.m. Monday, March 5, after he reported falling asleep behind the wheel on Wisconsin 81 in the Town of Darlington. The vehicle veered across the highway, hit a guardrail and came to rest in a ditch. Franzen told deputies he was uninjured. The vehicle was severely damaged and towed from the scene.
