Monroe Police

MONROE - David L. Webb, 22, Monroe, was arrested at 2:33 a.m. Sunday for driving while intoxicated, second offense, and driving a vehicle after revocation in the 1000 block of 7th Avenue. Webb was released pending court.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Jacob O. Hammer, 20, Madison, was cited at 9:17 p.m. Friday for underage possession of alcohol after his vehicle was stopped for speeding in the N6400 block of English Settlement Road, Town of Albany. Hammer was also cited for speeding and driving after revocation. A passenger, Keith D. Hartje, 19, Evansville, was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Hartje was released after posting a cash bond. Hammer was released pending court.

On Saturday:

• Collin J. Emerson, 44, Monroe, was arrested at 2:44 p.m. on a Rock County warrant for failure to pay a fine after deputies responded to a report of a man walking in the middle of the roadway on Wisconsin 59 at Ladwig Road, Town of Sylvester. Emerson was taken to the Brodhead Police Department where he was turned over to Rock County deputies.

• Michael W. Fischer, 28, Brodhead, was cited at 5:19 p.m. for driving without a valid license, second offense or more, in the N3600 block of Wisconsin 104, Town of Decatur. Fischer was released pending court.

• Jeffery R. Hohmann, 27, McFarland, was cited at 8:24 p.m. for driving with a suspended license and falsely displaying registration plates after deputies stopped his vehicle for a traffic infraction in the W500 block of County C, Town of Brooklyn. Hohmann was released pending court.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Friday:

• Deputies responded at 3:42 p.m. to a civil dispute on County J, Benton.

• A deputy assisted Argyle police with a welfare check at 4:30 p.m. on South Lafayette Street, Argyle.

On Saturday:

• A deputy responded to a report of loud music on Galena Street, Argyle, at 12:35 a.m.

• A deputy responded at 1:25 a.m. to a complaint of a possible intoxicated driver on Wisconsin 23, Willow Springs Township.

• A deputy responded to a report of disorderly conduct at 4:20 a.m. on West Center Street, South Wayne.

• A deputy responded at 6:55 a.m. to a report of disorderly conduct on Frontier Street, Benton.

• A deputy responded to a traffic complaint of an erratic driver on Wisconsin 11, Wayne Township, at 12:48 p.m.

• A deputy took a complaint of criminal damage to a mailbox at 4:50 p.m. on Richardson Lane, New Diggings Township.

• A deputy and the Wisconsin State Patrol responded at 5:15 p.m. to a traffic complaint of a semi driving erratically on Wis. 11, Gratiot Township.

• A deputy responded at 7:48 p.m. to a report of threats to injure on West Center Street, South Wayne.

On Sunday:

• Nicholas C. Huber, 21, Blanchardville, was arrested at 3:28 a.m. for driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop on Wisconsin 78, Blanchard Township. Huber was also cited for open intoxicants in a vehicle, unreasonable speed and driving left of center.

• A deputy responded to a report of a cat bite on Lacey Road, Wayne Township, at 1:45 p.m.

• A deputy responded to a threat to injure complaint at 10:01 p.m. on 1st Street, Argyle.



New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - Police took a complaint of a dog running at-large in the 600 block of 6th Avenue, at 7:27 p.m. March 16. Contact was made with the owner who was attempting to catch the dog.

On Thursday:

• Police took a report of possible fraud at 10:20 a.m. A caller was trying to sell items relating to funerals.

• Police responded at 12:55 p.m. to a report of disorderly conduct on 2nd Street.

On Friday:

• Police took a report of possible fraud from a location in the 600 block of 7th Avenue at 5 p.m. A citizen reported they received a phone call from someone claiming to be from the IRS seeking back taxes. The phone call was determined to be a scam.

• Michelle R. Zoller, 35, Belleville, was cited at 1:30 a.m. for disorderly conduct and endangering the safety of a person by recklessly driving after police were conducting an investigation into a reported stolen cell phone in the 100 block of 5th Avenue. The cell phone was returned to its owner.

• Police received a complaint in regards to a citizen who had not reported to work in the past two days. The subject was located at 2:12 p.m. Saturday and everything was determined to be OK.

On Sunday:

• Brad A. Stammen, 58, New Glarus, was arrested at 5:59 p.m. for a probation violation and he was also cited for disorderly conduct after police responded to an altercation in the 500 block of 1st Street. Stammen was jailed pending court.

• Police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at 10:22 p.m. on Durst Road. It was determined the dispute was a verbal altercation and no arrest was made. The parties were separated for the night, and the District Attorney's Office and Green County Human Services were forwarded reports.
