Albany Police

ALBANY - Jeremy A. Barnett, Jr., 17, Albany, was arrested Friday, March 15, on a warrant issued by the Village of Albany for citations of underage drinking and underage possession of tobacco.

• Michael J. Elmer, 22, Albany, was arrested Friday, March 15, on charges of possessing THC (marijuana) and drug paraphernalia.

• Justin A. Phillips, 22, Albany, was arrested Friday, March 15, on a warrant issued by the Village of Albany for a citation of non-registration of a motor vehicle. Phillips was also arrested on a warrant issued by Lafayette County. At 11:10 p.m., a Lafayette County deputy responded to the Green County line to pick up Phillips, who was transported to the Lafayette County Jail and then released after he posted bond.

• David A. Nolte, 19, Milton, was cited Friday, March 15, for driving with a suspended license.

• Mason S. Meek, 18, Stoughton, was cited Saturday, March 16, for driving without vehicle insurance, with a suspended license and with a false display of registration.

• Charles M. Caviale, 26, Albany, was cited for prohibited smoking in a public facility on Saturday, March 16, at Clayt's Corner Bar, 120 N. Water St.

• Brenton A. Drewel, 31, Albany, was cited Sunday, March 17, for driving without vehicle insurance and with a suspended license.

• A hit-and-run was reported at about 9:45 p.m. Sunday, March 10, at the Albany Mini Mart, 700 N. Cincinnati St. The offending vehicle may be a truck with a ball-joint hitch.



Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD - Tiffany A. Coughlin, 24, Brodhead, was arrested in the 900 block of East 5th Avenue at 4:11 p.m. Monday, March 11, on a warrant issued by the Whitewater Municipal Court. She was also cited for driving with a suspended license (fourth or greater offense) and failing to yield at a yield sign. She was jailed.

• Kevin L. Bobolz, 33, Brodhead, was arrested in the N100 block of 1st Street at 4:20 p.m. Thursday, March 14, and cited for speeding and driving with a suspended license. He was released pending court.

• A 17-year-old Brodhead boy was cited for unnecessary acceleration and display of power at 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 12.

• A 16-year-old Brodhead girl was cited for truancy at 8 a.m. Wednesday, March 13.

• Neil J. Schatz, 54, Grundy Center, Iowa, was cited for speeding in the 600 block of 1st Street at 8:22 p.m. Thursday, March 14.

• Charles D. Spry, 53, Beloit, was cited for unsafe passing on the right at 11:34 p.m. Thursday, March 14, in the 900 block of 1st Center Avenue.

• Bryan G. Cook, 32, Edgerton, was cited for speeding in the 500 block of East 9th Avenue at 1:52 p.m. Friday, March 15.



Monroe Police

MONROE - Danyel T. Fernandes, 24, Juda, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated at 2:31 a.m. Saturday, March 16, in the 900 block of 30th Street. She was also cited for driving with a prohibited alcohol concentration and released pending court.

• Robert H. Bearer, 33, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct in the 500 block of West 21st Street after police responded to a 911 call from a 29-year-old woman, the alleged victim, at 4:05 p.m. Saturday, March 16. Bearer posted the required bond and was released pending court.

• Tanner R. Halvorsen, 33, Monroe, was arrested in the 200 block of 3rd Avenue at 5:43 p.m. Saturday, March 16, on an outstanding warrant for failure to pay child support. He was jailed.

• Chanelle Saxer, 26, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct after police responded at 10:27 p.m. Saturday, March 16, to an ongoing dispute between neighbors over smoking in a duplex in the 300 block of 14th Avenue. Saxer was released pending court.

• SeanCody L. Anderson, 18, Brodhead, was arrested in the 1800 block of 12th Street at 12:06 a.m. Sunday, March 17, on a warrant issued by the Lafayette County Sheriff's Department for underage drinking. He was transported at 12:55 a.m. to the Lafayette County Jail, where he posted bond and was released.

• Robert S. Ormond, 20, Monroe, was cited for unsafe backing after police responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 1800 block of 1st Avenue at 1:45 p.m. Saturday, March 16. He collided with a legally parked vehicle.

• Two Illinois girls, a 15-year-old from Dakota and a 16-year-old from Rock City, were cited for shoplifting $104.74 in merchandise from Walmart, 300 6th Ave. W., at 8:38 p.m. Saturday, March 16.

• A resident in the 1900 block of 15th Avenue reported a concern at 7:47 a.m. Friday, March 15, that a dog in a vehicle parked on the block had been left there overnight. The vehicle was gone when officers arrived.

• A person reported losing a hub cap at 7:52 a.m. Friday, March 15. If found, call dispatch at 608-329-2400.

• The theft of a vehicle was reported at 8 a.m. Friday, March 15, from a garage in the 1500 block of 12th Avenue. The vehicle mysteriously reappeared in the same garage later that afternoon. Police are investigating suspects.

• An officer on patrol warned people for walking a dog without a leash in the 800 block of 16th Avenue at 12:52 p.m. Friday, March 15.

• An officer on patrol warned a man for riding a bicycle on the sidewalk on the downtown Square at 4:27 p.m. Friday, March 15.

• A rash of vandalism to vehicles parked in the downtown area was discovered by officers on patrol at about 4 a.m. Saturday, March 16. The windshields on two vehicles parked in the ramp appeared to have been kicked. A third vehicle in the ramp had been keyed. More parked vehicles with kicked windshields were discovered near Monroe Middle School.

• A gas drive-off of $30.01 was reported at 7 a.m. Saturday, March 16, at Kwik Trip, 1019 9th St.

• A vehicle egging was reported in the 2200 block of 16th Street at 8:41 a.m. Saturday, March 16.

• A woman in the 300 block of 2nd Street reported getting texts from a man she has a restraining order against at 10:45 a.m. Saturday, March 16. Police determined the cellphone is used communally and the texts were actually meant for another person. There was no restraining order violation.

• A Boxer dog on a leash was found running loose in the 2000 block of Roosevelt Road at 3:46 p.m. Saturday, March 16. Police referred the case to the Green County Humane Society.

• A passerby in the 1300 block of 9th Street reported seeing a possible fire in the back of a residential garage at 7:28 p.m. Saturday, March 16. Police discovered the fire was actually in an approved fire pit in the backyard, but the resident was burning yard waste, a violation of city code. The resident was warned.

• A habitual runaway, a 15-year-old girl, was reported missing again by a parent in the 1600 block of 15th Street at 10:22 p.m. Saturday, March 16. As of Monday afternoon, she was still missing.

• An ill opossum was reported in a backyard in the 1300 block of 23rd Street at 11:05 p.m. Saturday, March 16. An officer euthanized it with a metal baton and disposed of the creature.

• A resident in the 1600 block of 11th Street reported at 12:13 a.m. Sunday, March 17, that he was being harassed by two towing companies.

• A 29-year-old woman reported at 3:13 a.m. Sunday, March 17, that she'd been punched by an unknown woman in a dispute over the use of a barstool at Leisure Lanes, 2308 6th Ave. The dispute had escalated from name-calling.

• A resident in the 600 block of 22nd Avenue was warned to clear the sidewalk after police responded to an anonymous citizen complaint at 11:16 a.m. Sunday, March 17.

• A person driving in the 200 block of West 22nd Street Court reported seeing someone throw snow and ice at puppies in a front yard at 11:25 a.m. Sunday, March 17. An officer checked into it and determined the puppies were unharmed and the snow-throwing was just innocent horseplay.

• A resident in the 100 block of 26th Avenue reported losing a wallet at 12:46 p.m. Sunday, March 17. If found, call dispatch at 608-329-2400.



New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - Aleah M. Kaldem, 31, New Glarus, was arrested at 3:14 p.m. Monday, March 11, on a warrant issued by Green County Circuit Court. She posted bond and was released.

• Brandon L. Davis, 27, Madison, was arrested on a warrant issued by Dane County for marijuana possession after police stopped a vehicle on County W at Hoesly Drive for emitting loud exhaust at 8:40 p.m. Thursday, March 14. Davis was also cited for driving without a valid license. Monticello police and the Green County K-9 unit assisted.

• Police stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation on 6th Avenue at 1st Street at 12:24 a.m. Sunday, March 17, and cited three occupants for underage drinking: Donald D. Benton, Jr., 19, Tyler T. Neuenschwander, 17, and River J. Lee, 17, all of New Glarus. Benton was also cited for transporting open intoxicants as an underage person. All three were released to responsible people.

• Police responded to a 911 call reporting "strange noises" at residence in the village at 10:10 p.m. Wednesday, March 13. Police checked the area and found everything to be OK. It was determined the noise was coming from a loud neighbor. The neighbor was asked to keep the noise down.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Dennis E. Carpenter, Jr., 20, Monroe, was taken into custody at the Green County Justice Center at 1:20 p.m. Friday, March 15, on a warrant issued by the Probation and Parole Department. He was jailed pending court.

• Dale A. Chapman, 48, Janesville, was arrested on a warrant issued by the Rock County Sheriff's Department, after deputies stopped a vehicle on Wisconsin 11 near Balls Mill Road in Sylvester Township at 4:57 p.m. Friday, March 15. He was jailed pending court.

• Erika A. Kundert, 21, Brodhead, was arrested on a second-offense charge of driving while intoxicated after deputies responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch in the W8000 block of County P in Cadiz Township at 3:16 a.m. Saturday, March 16. Kundert was also charged with obstructing an officer and cited for keeping open intoxicants in the vehicle and for failure to maintain control of the vehicle. A passenger, Denise P. Zepeda, 23, Monticello, was cited for obstructing an officer. Zepeda was released. Kundert was jailed pending bond.

• Kevin W. Haffele, 24, Monroe, was arrested on a second-offense charge of driving while intoxicated after deputies responded at 2:15 a.m. Sunday, March 17, to a crash in the parking lot of Sir Buk's Dance Club, W5222 County KK, Monroe Township. Haffele struck a parked vehicle. Both vehicles sustained minor damage. Haffele was released to a responsible person pending court.

• Justin R. Myers, 36, Gratiot, was arrested on warrants issued by Lafayette County for failure to pay forfeitures, after deputies stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction on Wis. 11 near Patterson Road in Clarno Township at 5:23 p.m. Sunday, March 17. Myers was a passenger in the vehicle. The driver, Jeremy W. Herbst, 41, South Wayne, was cited for non-registration of a vehicle and driving with a suspended license. He was released pending court. Myers was turned over to Lafayette County deputies at 5:58 p.m. and transported to the Lafayette County Jail, where he remains.

• David A. Scofield, Jr., 24, Brodhead, was cited for driving with a revoked license, inattentive driving and non-registration of a vehicle at 9:04 p.m. Friday, March 15, in the W1500 block of County EE.

• Christy K. Jaggi, 54, rural Brodhead, was cited for depositing solid waste on public property after deputies responded to a littering complaint at 5:45 p.m. Sunday, March 17, of a motorist throwing bags of trash into the Sugar River off Decatur Road in Decatur Township.

• Mika L. Funches, 42, Madison, was cited for speeding and driving with a suspended license and registration at 7:38 p.m. Sunday, March 17, in the N8900 block of Wis. 69 in New Glarus Township.

• John L. Carothers-Muszynski, 21, Darlington, was cited for speeding and driving with a revoked license at 10:02 p.m. Sunday, March 17, in the W9400 block of Wis. 81 in Adams Township.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Carlos C. Vazquez Mendoza, 21, Darlington, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated at 6:48 p.m. Sunday, March 17, on Wis. 81 in Seymour Township. He was also charged with driving with a revoked license, driving without vehicle insurance, speeding and having open intoxicants in the vehicle. He was jailed. A passenger, Juan M. Garcia Aburto, 29, Darlington, was cited for open intoxicants.

• Joshua M. Hiatt, 27, Shullsburg, was cited for driving left of center on County U in Shullsburg Township at 5:49 p.m. Friday, March 15.

• Kurt T. Peterson, 25, Darlington, was cited for driving with a suspended license, no vehicle insurance and a suspended vehicle registration at 2:43 a.m. Saturday, March 16, on Wis. 78 in Argyle Township.

• Rebecca S. Halverson, 24, Blanchardville, was cited for driving without vehicle insurance at 9:13 a.m. Saturday, March 16, on County F in Blanchard Township.

• Haleigh J. Falsey, 16, Argyle, was cited for a violation of her graduated driver's license at 1:02 a.m. Sunday, March 17, on Monroe Street in Argyle.

• Tamara A. Bader, 25, Scales Mound, Ill., and Bryce W. Blackbourn, 22, Shullsburg, were cited for having open intoxicants in a vehicle, following a traffic stop on Wis. 11 in Shullsburg Township at 3:31 a.m. Sunday, March 17. The driver, Austin H. Ubersox, 24, Shullsburg, was cited for allowing open intoxicants in the vehicle.

• Brandon K. Lesandrini, 17, Benton, was cited for speeding on Wis. 11 in Shullsburg Township.

• A deputy responded to a civil dispute on County O in Seymour Township at 6:42 p.m. Friday, March 15.

• Deputies responded to a 911 call from a residence on Galena Street in Argyle at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 16. An intoxicated person made the call, and deputies determined there was no need for emergency services.

• A theft of firewood on County G in Willow Springs Township was reported at 12:47 p.m. Sunday, March 17.
