ALBANY POLICE

ALBANY - On March 7, Ashley S. Smith, 26, Fitchburg, was arrested on a Green County warrant.

On March 8, Devonte W. Joiner, 19, Fitchburg, was cited for driving without a valid license, non-registration of a vehicle, possession of THC and possession of drug paraphernalia.



BRODHEAD POLICE

BRODHEAD - For the week of March 6 to March 12, there were 28 citizen assists, 20 registrations, 16 security checks, 11 911 calls, nine traffic stops, nine EMS calls, five assists of other agencies and one mental health transport.

On March 7:

• A parking violation was reported at 1:07 p.m. in the 900 block of 10th Street. The offending vehicle was removed by its driver.

• Two dogs at large were reported at 1:20 p.m. in the N400 block of 1st Center Avenue. A warning was issued to the animals' owner.

• A 40-year-old Brodhead woman was cited at 3:40 p.m. for speeding in the N200 block of 1st Center Avenue.

• A theft was reported at 4:26 p.m. from a vehicle in the 900 block of 12th Street. The incident remains under investigation.

On March 8, police issued a warning at 1:21 p.m. to people in the 700 block of 12th Street for shooting a bow and arrow within the city.

On Wednesday:

• A barking dog was reported at 5:33 a.m. in the 600 block of West 3rd Avenue. A warning was issued to the animal's owner.

• A theft was reported at 10:31 a.m. in the 100 block of 23rd Street. The incident remains under investigation.

• A barking dog was reported at 7:55 p.m. in the 600 block of West 3rd Avenue. A warning was issued to the animal's owner.

• A 53-year-old Brodhead man was cited for having issued worthless checks on Feb. 15 in the 1700 block of East 8th Avenue.

On Thursday:

• A 28-year-old Madison woman was cited at 9:35 a.m. for speeding in the 600 block of 1st Street.

• Damage to a stop sign was reported at 11:04 a.m. in the 100 block of 9th Street. The incident remains under investigation.

• A dog bite was reported at 6:10 p.m. in the 1000 block of 21st Street.

On Friday:

• Police issued a warning at 8:07 a.m. to an individual in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue for the unlawful use of a phone.

• Truancy was reported at 10:35 a.m. in the 1400 block of 21st Street. A parent and a juvenile were issued verbal warnings.

• Items blowing into a neighboring yard was reported at 2:21 p.m. in the 200 block of 7th Street. Police issued a warning to the items' owner.

• A juvenile playing in the roadway was reported at 6:18 p.m. in the 1000 block of 21st Street.

• Branches in the roadway were reported at 6:44 p.m. in the 1300 block of West 3rd Avenue.

On Saturday:

• A 33-year-old Brodhead man was issued a warning at 9:30 a.m. for disorderly conduct in the 700 block of 17th Street.

• Two dogs were found on the roadway at 1:16 p.m. between Monroe and Juda. As the animals' owners could not be located, officers turned them over to the Green County Humane Society.

• Vandalism was reported at 10:48 p.m. in the 300 block of 3rd Street. No damage was found.



MONROE POLICE

MONROE - On Saturday:

• Brian H. Olson, 32, Verona, was arrested at 6:16 p.m. for driving while intoxicated (fourth offense) in the 1000 block of 16th Avenue. Olson was jailed.

• Edward Deuvall III, 28, Monroe, was arrested at 9:30 p.m. for aggravated battery causing great bodily harm and disorderly conduct in the 2500 block of 11th Street. Deuvall was jailed.

• Justin D. Nyman, 24, Monroe, was arrested at 10:41 p.m. for disorderly conduct and three counts of criminal damage to property in the 2200 block of 5th Avenue. Nyman was jailed.

On Sunday, Trevor R. Frie, 25, Monroe, was arrested at 1:27 a.m. on a Monroe Police warrant for failing to pay a fine in the 1300 block of 17th Street. Frie was jailed.



NEW GLARUS POLICE

NEW GLARUS - On March 6:

• Vandalism to a house was reported after residents of a home on Durst Road found eggs had been thrown at their house overnight.

• Drug paraphernalia was reported found on the driveway on a 3rd Street residence. Police retrieved and disposed of the item.

• Whitley L. Busjahn, 23, Monroe, was cited at 4:19 p.m. for driving without a valid license and without vehicle insurance in the 1000 block of Wisconsin 69.

• Lawrence E. Snow, 49, Monroe, was cited at 5:12 p.m. for a seatbelt violation and driving without vehicle insurance on Wis. 69.

• Nicolas A. Berthoud, 23, Burlington, Iowa, was cited at 5:56 p.m. for a seatbelt violation on Wis. 69.

On March 7:

• A parking complaint was made at 10:01 a.m. regarding a vehicle that had not been moved for several days. The vehicle's owner was contacted and the vehicle was moved.

• Alexander J. Bartelt, 20, Monroe, was cited at 4:06 p.m. for a seatbelt violation on Wis. 69.

• Police checked an individual's welfare at 7:29 p.m.

• Crystal L. Davis, 25, Madison, was cited at 9:03 p.m. for driving with a suspended license and without vehicle insurance on Wis. 69.

On March 8:

• A case of credit card fraud was reported at 1 p.m. on Wis. 69. The case remains under investigation.

• Thomas M. Wunderlin, Belleville, was cited at 4:20 p.m. for speeding and driving without vehicle insurance in the 10 block of 2nd Street.

• Police investigated a vehicle parked in a handicap zone at 4:37 p.m. in the 300 block of 2nd Street.

• Joel M. Zimmerman, 31, New Glarus, was arrested at 7:48 p.m. for domestic disorderly conduct in the 1000 block of Tower Circle.

On Wednesday:

• Suspicious behavior was reported at 11:01 a.m. Everything was found to be fine.

• Police assisted the Green County Human Services Department at 1:11 p.m. with a possible child abuse investigation in the village.

• Cassie M. Risch, 33, Belleville, was cited at 5:20 p.m. for driving with a suspended vehicle registration, a suspended license and without vehicle insurance.

On Thursday:

• A lost portable radio was delivered to the police at 9:54 a.m. The item was returned to its owner.

• Police helped unlock a vehicle at 3:43 p.m.

• A loose animal was reported at 5:53 p.m. in the 1000 block of 2nd Street. The animal was returned to its owner.

• A suspicious vehicle was reported at 6:18 p.m. in the 500 block of 8th Street. The vehicle had left by the time police arrived.

• A vehicle with no trailer lights was reported at 6:18 p.m. in the 600 block of Wis. 69.

• Eric J. Felt, 22, New Glarus, was cited at 9:36 p.m. for driving without vehicle insurance in the 200 block of 6th Avenue.

• Suspicious activity was reported at 10:45 p.m. in the 1400 block of Wis. 69. The incident remains under investigation.

On Friday:

• Police took a village resident into protective custody at 9:49 p.m. after receiving reports that the resident was attempting to commit suicide.

• A suspicious vehicle was reported at 7:28 p.m. on County W.

• David P. Dillon, 51, Rothschild, was cited at 9:09 p.m. for driving without vehicle insurance on Wis. 69.

• Deaundre M. Jones, 39, New Glarus, was cited for disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia at 9:41 p.m. after a disturbance was reported in the 30 block of 6th Avenue.

• Police notified the Department of Transportation at 11:45 p.m. of a non-functional pedestrian button at the intersection of Wis. 69 and Wis. 39.

On Saturday:

• Police investigated a disorderly conduct incident that had occurred on March 7 near the intersection of 2nd Street and 3rd Avenue.

• Police investigated a suspicious vehicle and an open door at 4:05 p.m. in the 10 block of 2nd Street. The matter remains under investigation.

• Carol A. Hassemer, 65, New Glarus, was cited at 5:56 p.m. for driving without vehicle insurance in the 1200 block of Elmer Road.

• Rebekah A. Bak, 20, Madison, was cited at 6:47 p.m. for driving without vehicle insurance in the 600 block of Wis. 69.

On Sunday:

• Police contacted the employees of a bar in the 100 block of 5th Avenue at 3:06 a.m. for being open after hours.

• Jared M. Gilbertson, 20, Monroe, was cited at 4:52 p.m. for driving without vehicle insurance in the 1100 block of Wis. 69.

• Thomas J. Doran, 34, Monroe, was cited at 5:18 p.m. for illegal window tinting in the 1400 block of Wis. 69.

• Police assisted a stranded driver at 6:02 p.m. in the 1400 block of Wis. 69.

• Eric T. Stoikes, 26, Belleville, was cited at 6:08 p.m. for speeding in the 600 block of Wis. 69.



GREEN COUNTY SHERIFF

MONROE - On Friday, Curtis L. Metz, 34, Monroe, was arrested at 11:27 p.m. on a probation/parole violation in the W3800 block of County SS, Town of Sylvester. Metz was jailed.

On Saturday:

• Trevor J. Bufton, 32, Freeport, was arrested on a first-offense charge of driving while intoxicated and was cited for reckless driving and speeding after deputies observed him "playing leapfrog" with other vehicles in the N1900 block of Wis. 69, Town of Clarno.

• Adan Moranchel Tapia, 20, Monroe, was cited at 10:37 p.m. for driving without a license and speeding on Wis. 11, Town of Monroe.

DARLINGTON - On Friday:

• Criminal damage to property was reported at 6:35 a.m. on Center Drive Road, Town of Elk Grove.

• A 911 hang-up occurred at 9:32 a.m. on Main Street in Darlington.

• Jennifer L. Scott, 53, Gratiot, was cited at 2:10 p.m. for driving without proof of vehicle insurance on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot.

• Livestock on the roadway was reported at 5:30 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Elk Grove.

• An animal bite was reported at 5:44 p.m. on Fritzges Road, Town of Wayne.

• A speeding vehicle was reported at 6:12 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington.
