Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On Saturday, March 8:

• Elvia I. Elder, 28, address unknown, was arrested at 3:45 p.m. on a valid warrant through the Beloit Police Department after deputies responded to a domestic dispute in the N3300 block of Joy Del Road, Town of Monroe. Edler was transported to the Green County Jail and was released after posting bond.

• Thomas E. York, 40, Belleville, was arrested at 8:12 p.m. for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia following a speeding violation on Wis. 92 north of Dohm Drive, Town of Exeter. York was jailed pending bond or court. K-9 unit Ike and Belleville Police assisted at the scene.

• Deputies responded to a residence at 1:55 p.m. in the N7800 block of Wis. 104, Brooklyn Township, for a report of a mailbox shot by 12 gauge buck shot. Deputies found spent shell casings near the mailbox and determined the gauge. The mailbox was valued at $50. There were other similarly damaged mailboxes on the Rock County side of Wis. 104. The bridge south of the residence was also shot. Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Friday, March 7:

• A deputy took a report of theft at 1:05 a.m. from a residence on County J, Benton. The incident remains under investigation.

• A deputy responded to School Street at 8:35 a.m. to keep the peace during a property exchange.

• Danielle M. Pickett, 27, Gratiot, was arrested at 8:11 p.m. for domestic abuse-related disorderly conduct after a deputy responded to Main Street, Gratiot, for a report of a disturbance. Pickett posted bond and was released.

• A deputy responded at 8:20 p.m. to County G, Calamine, for a report of a suspicious vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver and everything was found to be OK.

On Saturday, March 8:

• While on patrol a deputy came upon an unoccupied vehicle in the ditch at 12:38 a.m. on Wis. 81, Darlington Township. The vehicle was removed and the incident remains under investigation.

• A deputy responded to Wis. 11, Wayne Township, for a report of an injured animal at 11:38 a.m.

• Deputies responded at 2:47 p.m. to Wis. 11, Gratiot Township, for a traffic complaint of an erratic driver. Deputies made contact with the driver and found everything to be OK.

• A deputy along with the Wisconsin State Patrol responded at 5:26 p.m. to U.S. 151 for a report of a vehicle pulled over and the occupants fighting. Upon checking the area, no vehicle was located.

On Sunday, March 9:

• A deputy responded at 1:25 a.m. to County G, Belmont Township for a report of livestock on the roadway.

• A deputy responded to County F, Darlington Township, at 7:30 a.m. to take a report of criminal damage.

• A deputy responded to Main Street, Gratiot, at 9:17 a.m. to keep the peace during a civil dispute.



Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD - Amberlynn Jo Johnson, 37, Brodhead, was arrested for domestic abuse-related disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property and bail jumping at 7:04 a.m. Tuesday, March 4, in the 1100 block of 18th Street. She was jailed pending court.



New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - On Tuesday, March 4:

• Police received a gas drive-off complaint at 8:50 a.m. in the 1400 block of 6th Avenue. The incident remains under investigation.

• James C. Haler, 45, Janesville, was cited at 9:05 a.m. for driving without a valid driver's license during a traffic stop on Wis. 69 at 11th Avenue.

• Police responded at 11:27 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, for a report of suspicious activity in the 300 block of Heidi Court. Everything appeared to be fine and nothing was out of the ordinary.

On Thursday, March 6:

• The New Glarus Police Department assisted Green County Human Services at 10:00 a.m. with information in regards to a welfare check of a person at a residence in the Village of New Glarus.

• Police received a parking complaint at 3:00 p.m. in the 800 block of 3rd Street. The matter was addressed and the vehicle was removed.

On Friday, March 7:

• Police and Green County Sheriff's Department responded at 11:26 a.m. to a location in the village to conduct a home inspection in relation to a multi-pet agreement. The matter remains under investigation.

• Police were dispatched at 5:51 p.m. to the 800 block of 10th Avenue for a report of a chocolate lab running at large. The dog was captured and then reunited with its owners.

• Police were dispatched to the 900 block of 10th Avenue for a report of a barking dog, which was not located.

• The Monticello Police Department requested the New Glarus Police to conduct an intoximeter test at 11:55 p.m. on a subject that they had arrested for driving while under the influence.

On Saturday, March 8:

• Police were dispatched at 1:19 a.m. to the 900 block of 10th Avenue for a report of a found Beagle. The dog was reunited with the owner the next day.

• Police were requested by the Belleville Police Department at 2:37 p.m. for a domestic abuse disturbance in the Village.

• Joshua J. Miller, 22, Belleville, was cited at 6:56 p.m. for a defective muffler, driving with a suspended license and driving without insurance on Wis. 69 near 6th Avenue.

• Police were requested by the Green County Sheriff's Department to monitor Wis. 69 for a northbound vehicle speeding in excess of 90 MPH. The vehicle was not located.

On Sunday, March 9:

• Brent J. Hanna, 41, Belleville, was cited at 5:42 p.m. for non-registration of a vehicle and driving without insurance during a traffic stop on Wis. 69 and 11th Avenue.

• Helen C. Kuykendoll, 23, New Glarus, was cited for disorderly conduct at 8:52 p.m. in the 300 block of Elmer Road.
