Albany Police

ALBANY - A 15-year-old Albany boy was cited Wednesday, May 29, for failure to obey a lawful order.

• David J. Klapper, 46, Albany, was cited Wednesday, May 29, for disorderly conduct.

• A 16-year-old juvenile was cited Saturday, June 1, for disorderly conduct and battery.

• A 15-year-old juvenile was cited Saturday, June 1, for disorderly conduct.



Darlington Police

DARLINGTON - Alfredo Tlaxcaltecatl, 24, Darlington, was cited for driving without a valid license at about 11:35 p.m. Saturday, June 1, following a traffic stop on East Alice Street. He posted bond and was released.



Monroe Police

MONROE - Thomas J. Ambrose, 44, Monroe, was arrested at the request of the Wisconsin Probation and Parole Office at 3:33 p.m. Friday, May 31, in the 1700 block of 30th Avenue. He was jailed.

• Branson H. Ubersox, 23, Shullsburg, was arrested on an outstanding warrant issued by the Albany Police Department, following a traffic stop in the 1700 block of 18th Street at 5:49 p.m. Saturday, June 1. He was also cited for a seatbelt violation and driving without proof of vehicle insurance. He posted bond and was released.

• Two Monroe boys, ages 11 and 14, were arrested after police responded to a complaint of vandalism behind Turner Hall at 6:38 p.m. Saturday, June 1. The boys had been spraying graffiti - the word "ROYALZ" - on walls around the downtown area. Police found an unloaded pistol on the 11-year-old. The boy at first claimed he found it in a bush, then later admitted it belonged to a family member. The boys were referred to Juvenile Intake on charges of criminal damage to property and carrying a concealed weapon.

• A 16-year-old Monroe boy was cited for truancy from Monroe High School at 10:42 a.m. Friday, May 31.

• Annette P. Jordan-Estes, 55, Monticello, was cited for retail theft after police were called to Walmart, 300 6th Ave. W., at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, June 1. She reportedly shoplifted candy bars, earphones, magazines and other miscellaneous items with a total value of $59.



On Friday, May 31:

• The owner of a home in foreclosure in the 2000 block of 28th Street was warned to mow the lawn, after police responded at 9:59 a.m. to a complaint.

• An officer on patrol noticed an unmowed lawn in the 1500 block of 14th Avenue at 10:19 a.m. and issued a warning notice.

• A resident in the 1400 block of 30th Avenue reported at 1:16 p.m. that someone sprayed weed-killing chemicals on her lawn without her permission and the chemicals caused brown spots. The lawn service company meant to spray a neighbor's yard and sprayed the wrong yard by mistake. Police advised the resident to work it out with the company.

• A parent reported at 4:07 p.m. that her daughter is being bullied at Monroe Middle School. The parent wanted the bullying documented by police. School staff are already working on the issue.

• Several juveniles were reported missing at 4:38 p.m. after their older sister failed to pick them up as planned. They were found walking home along country roads and were reunited with their family.

• Police responded at 7:23 p.m. to a complaint of a dog inside a residence barking loud enough to be heard outside in the 2400 block of 12th Street. A citation is pending against the owner, after a neighbor again complained about the loud barking at 7:08 p.m. Sunday, June 2.

• A caller at 8:09 p.m. reported that a neighbor's dog routinely barks and is often left on a leash long enough so that it comes into his yard in the 2500 block of 8th Street. Police advised the caller to call back when the violations are actually happening.

• A resident in the 1100 block of 30th Street complained at 9:20 p.m. that a neighbor was using a chainsaw. The neighbor was cutting up tree branches that fell in the recent storm. He told police he'd stop for the night.



On Saturday, June 1:

• A gas drive-off was reported at 8:14 a.m. at the Monroe Northsider, 180 N. 18th Ave.

• A gas drive-off was reported at 9:44 a.m. at Cenex, 2914 13th St.

• A grandmother reported at 11:17 a.m. that her 14-year-old granddaughter swears, does what she wants and left home in a huff. Police talked with the girl about respect. The case was referred to Green County Human Services.

• A female beagle mix was found at 4:38 p.m. in the 2500 block of 13th 1/2 Avenue. Arrangements were made for the dog to be taken to the Green County Humane Society.

• A possible fire violation was reported at 7:06 p.m. in the 2300 block of 6th Avenue. The complaint was unfounded. People were burning an approved substance, wood, in an approved metal fire pit.

• People were warned at 10:04 p.m. for shooting off fireworks in the 1300 block of 10th Street.



On Sunday, June 2:

• Police were called at 1:56 a.m. to investigate the death of an 87-year-old woman in the 500 block of 26th Avenue. No sign of foul play is suspected.

• The theft of a parking meter, formerly belonging to the City of Monroe, was reported at 2:25 p.m. in the 500 block of 10th Avenue. The resident bought the meter from the city and was using it as a lawn ornament.

• A small digital camera was reported lost somewhere downtown at 5:59 p.m.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Trisha E. Patterson, 43, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated after she was injured in a one-vehicle crash in Exeter Township at 11:33 p.m. Saturday, June 1. She lost control on a curve on Wisconsin 92 at County W, collided with a road sign and ditch embankment and then went through a barbed wire fence into a hay field. She attempted to flee the scene by driving around in the hay field two times. She is also charged with obstructing an officer, criminal damage to property and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was cited for driving too fast for conditions, hit-and-run to property adjacent to a highway and failure to notify law enforcement of a crash. She was transported by Belleville EMS for treatment of her injuries and then booked into jail pending release to a responsible person. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed. The Belleville Police and Fire Departments assisted deputies at the scene.

• Jeremy D. Artis, 20, Winslow, was arrested on two body-only warrants for failure to pay fines on charges of driving without a valid license following a traffic stop on Wis. 69 at Gutzmer Road in Mount Pleasant Township at 6:03 a.m. Sunday, June 2. Artis was also cited for speeding and a criminal traffic offense of driving without a valid license. He was jailed pending court.
