Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Friday:

• Benjamin S. Forsythe, 19, Galena, was cited at 11:41 p.m. for underage alcohol consumption following a traffic stop on Beebe Road, Benton Township.

On Saturday:

• Brent J. Kayhart, 17, Stetsonville, was cited at 2:44 a.m. for driving while suspended, failure to stop at a stop sign and underage alcohol consumption following a traffic stop on Wisconsin 11, Gratiot Township.

• A deputy took a traffic complaint of debris on the roadway on U.S. 151, Belmont Township.

• A deputy responded to a dog bite on County I, New Diggings Township, at 5:15 p.m.

On Sunday:

• A deputy responded to a theft report at 11:57 a.m. on West Center Street, Village of South Wayne.

• A deputy took a report of criminal damage to property and trespassing on High Street, New Diggings Township, at 3:17 p.m.

• A deputy and UW-Platteville police responded at 11:14 p.m. to a suspicious person on County G, Belmont Township.

On Monday:

• Deputies checked the welfare of an individual at 12:21 a.m. at a residence on West Water Street, Shullsburg, after a disorderly conduct incident occurred at a residence on East Truth Street, Shullsburg.

• A deputy investigated a suspicious activity complaint at 10:05 a.m. at a location on County O, Shullsburg Township.

• A deputy was dispatched at 10:55 a.m. to a suspicious activity complaint at a location on Bridge Street, Gratiot.

• A report of attempted fraud was received by the sheriff's office at 11:30 a.m. that occurred via the Internet at a residence on Creek Drive, Benton. The victim was able to identify the transaction as a scam and canceled the agreement before any personal property or money was lost.

• A deputy investigated a suspicious activity complaint at a residence on Lancaster Road, Lamont Township at 1:05 p.m.

• A deputy responded at 1:35 p.m. to a report of children riding a toy wagon down a hill in the lane of traffic on Wis. 81, Elk Grove Township.

• A deputy responded to a complaint of livestock on the roadway at 6 p.m. on Woodberry Road, Darlington Township.

• A deputy took a report of disorderly conduct occurring on Sheldon Street, Gratiot, at 7:50 p.m.

• Deputies were dispatched at 9:26 p.m. to assist in attempting to locate two juveniles who reportedly were lost in a cornfield on Tama Run Lane, Darlington. The subjects were located prior to law enforcement arrival. Darlington police assisted at the scene.



Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD - Tracy A. Wiese, Brodhead, was cited at 3:21 a.m. Sunday, July 20, for nuisance animals in the 400 block of 2nd Street. Wiese was released pending court.



New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - On Monday, July 21:

• Police took a suspicious activity report from a residence in the 300 block of 2nd Street at 5:59 p.m. A citizen received a letter in the mail from a collection agency trying to collect a debt for an unpaid parking ticket. The citizen was never in the state the letter originated from. An investigation into the matter continues to determine if it was fraud or not.

• Police found two subjects in the baseball diamond next to first base in Veteran's Park after hours at 10:37 p.m. The subjects were identified, and an investigation continues.

On Tuesday:

• Russell W. Rylandler Jr., 54, New Glarus, was issued a citation for a violation on the number of dogs allowed at a residence.

• Linda A. Hewitt, 54, New Glarus, was cited for disorderly conduct for an incident that occurred in the evening of Saturday, July 19, in the 600 block of Windlach Street.

On Thursday:

• Police took a call from a citizen at 9:02 a.m. in regards to a call they received from Discovery Credit Card. The incident was documented, and the citizen was advised to check their bank accounts.

• Police responded at 11:47 a.m. to a report of illegal burning in the village on 7th Avenue. The burn was located and the resident was new to town. The fire was put out, and the subject was advised of the village ordinance.

• Police received a complaint of a dog being left in a vehicle at 1:53 p.m. The dog was checked on and the windows were down and the dog appeared fine.

On Friday:

• Police located a water main break at 9:22 p.m. on 3rd Avenue at 3rd Street. New Glarus Utilities was contacted and responded to the address.

• Benjamin F. Austin, 35, Monroe, was cited at 11:50 p.m. for disorderly conduct after police investigated an incident in the 300 block of Elmer Road.



Monroe Police

MONROE - Two 14-year-old boys were arrested at 2:12 a.m. Monday, for underage consumption and possession of alcohol, resisting arrest and curfew violation in the 1500 block of 13th Street. Both boys were released to a parent pending court.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On Monday:

• Kourtney E. Pemberton, 36, Freeport, was cited at 2:03 p.m. for driving without a valid driver's license after deputies stopped her for a traffic violation on Wisconsin 81 east of Skinner Hollow Road, Town of Jordan. Pemberton was released pending court.

• Grant T. Schoenenberger, 18, Albany, was cited at 9:57 p.m. for possession of drug paraphernalia and less than 25 grams of marijuana following a traffic stop for an equipment violation on Wisconsin 59 near Suburban Road, Town of Albany. Schoenenberger was released pending court. K-9 unit Ike assisted with the stop.
