Monroe Police

MONROE - Mary J. Moffitt, 58, Monroe, was cited for failing to yield the right-of-way at a stop sign after police responded to a two-vehicle collision at about 8 a.m. Monday, Jan. 2, in the intersection of Wisconsin 69 and 2nd Street. Moffitt reportedly hit a vehicle driven by Aaron A. Blask, 47, Dodgeville. Green County EMS transported two people with non-life threatening injuries from the scene. Both vehicles were severely damaged and towed away.

- At 11:08 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, a resident in the 1400 block of Parkview Drive reported seeing a prowler lurking around a locked red vehicle parked outside the home. The suspicious person fled, and there was no evidence of damage or theft.

- An employee at a business in the 1600 block of 9th Street reported a possibly counterfeit $1 bill at the business at 9:32 a.m. Monday, Jan. 2. Upon further inspection, the bill was just worn.

- A business owner in the 1100 block of 17th Avenue reported a broken window at 10:37 a.m. Monday, Jan. 2, but told police there was no evidence of a break-in.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Joel K. Elmer, 31, Browntown, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated and cited for having a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration after deputies stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation at 2:54 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, on Wis. 11 near High School Road in the Town of Sylvester. He was jailed.

- Aaron C. Koehn, 30, Monroe, was cited for failing to keep a vehicle under control and failing to notify police of an accident after deputies responded at 7:45 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 1, to a report of a one-vehicle crash in the N1300 block of Five Corner Road in the Town of Jefferson. Koehn reportedly left the road, hit a culvert and came to a rest in an open field, then left the scene of the crash, uninjured. Deputies found him at his residence. The vehicle was severely damaged and towed from the scene.

- Shawn D. Rains, 26, Orfordville, was cited for driving with a revoked license at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 1, in the 1000 block of Dunphy Road in the Town of Albany. She was released to a responsible person, and the vehicle was left at the scene.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Daniel R. Hentrich, 43, Platteville, was arrested at 7:02 p.m. Monday, Jan. 2, on a charge of disorderly conduct following a disturbance at a residence on County XX in the Town of Benton. Hentrich left the home before law enforcement arrived, but turned himself in at the Platteville Police Department. He posted bond and was released pending a court appearance.

- Ryan P. Hagen, 23, Monroe, was cited for having no proof of vehicle insurance at 1:10 p.m. Monday, Jan. 2, on Wis. 81 in the Town of Seymour.

- Starla R. Sholl, 48, Chicago, was cited for speeding at 1:37 p.m. Monday, Jan. 2, on Wis. 126 in the Town of Elk Grove.

- Bradley J. Beyer, 32, Appleton, was cited for speeding at 2:12 p.m. Monday, Jan. 2, on U.S. 151 in the Town of Belmont.

- Lydia J. Thompson, 18, Marion, Iowa, was cited for speeding at 2:45 p.m. Monday, Jan. 2, on U.S. 151 in the Town of Belmont.

- Tess L. Finnigan, 18, Sturtevant, was cited for having no proof of vehicle insurance at 5:18 p.m. Monday, Jan. 2, on Wis. 11 in Benton.

- Jaycie A. Doubleday, 48, Janesville, was cited for speeding at 5:58 p.m. Monday, Jan. 2, on Wis. 11 in the Town of Benton.

- Sergio A. Cruz Zamora, 33, Wichita, Kan., was cited for driving without a valid license at 7:42 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, on U.S. 151 in the Town of Belmont.

- Jed T. Adams, 22, Benton, was taken into custody for two Grant County warrants at 2:48 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29. He was transported to the Cuba City Police Department, where bond was posted on his behalf.

- Todd M. Ritschard, 45, South Wayne, was cited for failure to obey a stop sign at 5:24 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, on County D in South Wayne.

- Bennie L. Cooper, 21, Platteville, was cited for speeding at 7:27 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, on County XX in the Town of Belmont.

- Jeffrey T. Cummings, Darlington, was arrested on a warrant issued by Grant County after a deputy responded to a residence on Furnace Hill Road in the Town of Willow Springs at 2:27 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30. Cummings was transferred to a Grant County deputy.

- Carl S. Ruegsegger, 20, South Wayne, was cited for driving without proof of vehicle insurance following a traffic stop at 7:28 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, on Wis. 11 in the Town of Gratiot.

- Keith L. Haverland, 50, Rewey, was cited for driving with a suspended license and no vehicle insurance, following a traffic stop at 8:40 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, on County G in the Town of Belmont.

- Jason L. Moore, 36, Fennimore, was cited for driving with a suspended license and no vehicle insurance, following a traffic stop at 9:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, on County G in the Town of Belmont.

- Tiffany K. Hardy, 21, Mineral Point, was arrested on a charge of driving without a valid license, her second such charge, following a traffic stop at 12:12 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, on U.S. 151 in the Town of Belmont. She was released to a responsible person.

- Joseph L. Henery, 51, Norfolk, Neb., was cited for speeding at 4:41 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, on Wis. 11 in the Town of Gratiot.

- Alex J. Hopfensperger, 25, Neenah, was cited for speeding at 5:34 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, on Wis. 11 in the Town of Benton.

- Michael R. Goforth, 26, Cuba City, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct at 6:38 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 1, after deputies responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence on County H in the Town of Elk Grove. Goforth posted bond and was released.

- A deputy responded at 3:50 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 1, that a mailbox had been knocked over on Wis. 81 in the Town of Darlington. The mailbox had been knocked over by high winds, the deputy found.
