Schmelzer Sr., 48, Brodhead, was cited for knowingly fleeing an officer, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of intoxicants, unsafe lane deviation, deviating from designated lane, and unreasonable and impudent speeding at about midnight Jan. 1 in the 1900 block of East Ninth Avenue. He was jailed.
• William A. Carroll, 74, Orfordville, was cited for unsafe backing of a vehicle at about 11 a.m. Dec. 29 in the 900 block of E. Exchange Street.
• Tyler M. Brewster, 18, Brodhead, was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign at about 9:15 p.m. Jan. 2 in the 100 block of 14th Street.
