Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Friday:

• A keep-the-peace issue was reported at 12:38 p.m. on West High Street in Shullsburg.

• An injured animal was reported at 12:55 p.m. on County D in Fayette Township.

• A deputy responded at 1:40 p.m. to West Water Street in Benton for a welfare check.

• A deputy responded at 3:05 p.m. to South Mound Avenue in Belmont for a vehicle lockout.

• A deputy came upon an abandoned vehicle at 4:42 p.m. on Wis. 11, Benton Township.

• Brooke P. Nolte, 29, Shullsburg, was cited for operating after suspension, no insurance and expired registration at 7:25 p.m. on Arbor Street in Benton.

• A deputy responded at 8:17 p.m. to County G in Willow Springs Township for a vehicle in the ditch.

• Deputies assisted Grant County Sheriff at 9:19 p.m. on County XX in Grant County.

• Deputies responded at 11:40 p.m. to Main Street in Gratiot for a welfare check.

On Saturday:

• Brandon J. Zart, 23, Belmont, was cited for operating after suspension, no insurance and non-registration of vehicle at 12:17 a.m. on County B, Belmont Township.

• A deputy came upon a parking problem at 2:27 p.m. on West Center Street in South Wayne.

• A deputy responded at 4:18 p.m. to Leahy Road in Shullsburg Township for a 911 misdial.

• A domestic dispute was reported at 8:06 p.m. on Main Street in Gratiot.

• A disorderly conduct complaint was reported at 8:39 p.m. on Wildcat Road in Darlington Township. Darlington Police assisted.

On Sunday: 

• A deputy responded at 8:09 a.m. to 8000 County G in Fayette Township to assist a motorist.

• A disabled vehicle was reported at 10:58 a.m. to Wis. 81 in Argyle Township.

• A deputy responded at 11:30 a.m. to 17791 County O in Kendall Township for a vehicle lockout.

• A civil dispute was reported at 4:05 p.m. at 102 East Center Street in South Wayne Township.

• Deputies responded at 7:54 p.m. to 425 South Judgement Street in Shullsburg.

• A domestic dispute was reported at 11:36 p.m. to 335 Ohio Street in Darlington. 

On Monday:

• Deputies responded at 10:03 a.m. to County M in Wiota Township for a welfare check.

• A deputy responded at 11:07 a.m. to Deetz Lane in Wayne Township for a welfare check.

• Trespassing was reported at 12:39 p.m. to Bean Street Road in Benton Township.

• A vehicle in the ditch was reported at 12:53 p.m. on County F in Willow Springs Township.

• Chandler M. Hansen, 18, Monticello, was cited at 6:26 p.m. for no proof of insurance on Wis. 11, Gratiot Township.

• Elfriede H. Zink, 46, Stockton, Illinois, was cited at 7:03 p.m. for no proof of insurance.

• A vehicle in the ditch was reported at 7:14 p.m. on Wis. 11 in Shullsburg Township.

• Connie L. Pinch, 36, Shullsburg, was cited at 11:12 p.m. for operating after suspension on Bean Street Road, New Diggings Township.



New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - Police assisted Green County Human Services at 2:16 p.m. Dec. 25 with issuance of a Salvation Army voucher to a citizen that had no place to stay.

On Dec. 26:

• A hazard in the road was removed at 2 p.m. in the 800 block of Wis. 69.

• Police marked tires of a vehicle that hadn't moved in days at 2:05 p.m. in the 500 block of 5th Avenue.

• An elderly person who fell was checked at 7:15 p.m. in the 100 block of 6th Avenue. The person refused emergency medical services.

On Dec. 27:

• A citation for parking an unregistered vehicle was given at 12:15 a.m. in the 100 block of 3rd Street.

• Police cited Mcallister Reynolds, 37, New Glarus, was cited for operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver's license at 5:33 p.m. in the 500 block of Railroad Street.

• Police cited Donavan Gertsch, 16, Monroe, for violation of graduated driver's license restrictions after a traffic stop for speeding at 9:36 p.m. in the 1400 block of Wis. 69.

• Police issued two parking citations Dec. 29 for violation of the alternate side winter parking ordinance.

On Saturday:

• Police issued five parking citations for alternate side parking violations.

• Police conducted a welfare check at 12:36 p.m. in the 600 block of 12th Avenue. Everything was fine.

• Police assisted Green County Sheriff at 4:08 p.m. to check a residence in the 200 block of 11th Avenue for a subject. Contact was made.

• Austyn R. Althaus, 22, Monroe, was cited for no seatbelt and operating a motor vehicle without insurance at 4:43 p.m. in the 1100 block of Wis. 69.

• Police assisted the Green County Sheriff with obtaining information at 6:14 p.m. about a crash that occurred on Wettach Road.

• Police assisted a citizen to check on his son at 6:34 p.m. in the 400 block of 6th Avenue. Everything was fine.

On Sunday:

• A car alarm was reported at 12:22 a.m. in the 900 block of 2nd Street. There was a male seen entering a vehicle and then leaving. The person was not located.

• A suspicious vehicle was reported at 1:35 a.m. in the 1000 block of Wis. 69. The car had been there for several hours and no one was around the vehicle. Contact was made with the owner, and it was removed the next day.

• Police assisted the Green County Sheriff at 10:55 a.m. in the N7900 block of County J with a 911 call.

• An intoxicated subject getting into a Chevrolet Silverado truck was reported at 3:17 p.m. in the 400 block of 2nd Street. The vehicle was not located. 

• Police responded at 8:34 p.m. to the 400 block of 11th Avenue for a 911 misdial. Everything was fine.

On Monday:

• Police responded at 12:02 a.m. to the 400 block of 10th Avenue for a 911 misdial. Everything was fine.

n A suspicious vehicle was reported at 2:25 a.m. in the 1400 block of Wis. 69. Everything was fine.
