MONROE - The driver and three passengers in a vehicle were cited or arrested during a traffic stop at 1:16 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25, on Ten Eyck Road at County OK in the Town of Decatur. Crystal A. Roth, 20, Orfordville, was cited for driving with a suspended license (second offense). Lucas S. Rittenhouse, 20, Orfordville, was arrested on three warrants issued by the Orfordville Police Department, then taken to the Green County Jail to await pickup by Orfordville police. Gavin James Roth, 19, Brodhead, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia. Daniel Aaron Scofield, 18, Brodhead, was arrested on charges of marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession, then released pending court.
• Charles R. Bentayou, 50, rural Monroe, was arrested on a third-offense charge of driving while intoxicated after deputies, Green County EMS and the Monticello Fire Department responded to a one-vehicle crash on County C near Studer Lane in the Town of Washington at 7:06 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26. Bentayou was westbound when he lost control and the vehicle to collided with a utility pole. He was injured and taken to Monroe Clinic for treatment. The vehicle was moderately damaged and towed. Bentayou is also cited for non-registration of an auto and failure to maintain control of a vehicle. He was jailed pending bond or court.
• Margarito Sarmiento-Martinez, 46, Monroe, was cited for speeding and driving without a valid license after deputies stopped her on Wisconsin 11 at County KK in the Town of Sylvester at 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26.
• Percell T. Swiney, 18, Madison, was cited for driving with a suspended license after deputies stopped him for an equipment violation on Bloom Lane near Bethel Road in the Town of Clarno at 2:53 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26. A passenger, Breanna C. Berger, 19, Albany, was cited for underage possession of alcohol.
