Monroe Police

MONROE - Residents in a trailer in the 2600 block of 8th Avenue were warned to turn down loud music after police responded to a complaint at 11:45 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21.

• Police and EMS were called to Monroe High School at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, for a report of a 16-year-old boy who was vomiting and incoherent as a result of drinking alcohol. No citation was issued. The boy was transported by EMS to treatment.

• Keys on a key ring were found outside Rivcom, LLC, 712 4th Ave. W., and brought to the station at 1:35 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22. To claim, call dispatch at (608) 329-2400.

• Police were called to a verbal argument between a husband and wife in the 1400 block of 23rd Avenue at 10:25 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22. Neither spouse reported being in fear of the other, and there were no arrests. Police educated the couple on domestic abuse laws.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Douglas R. Nihles, 29, Platteville, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct after deputies responded at 8:21 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, to a report of a domestic disturbance on County XX in the Town of Belmont. Nihles posted bond and was released.
