Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD - A male Orfordville juvenile was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign at 6:57 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, in the 1700 block of West 5th Avenue.

• Brett A. Squires, 19, Brodhead, was cited for unnecessary acceleration and display of power at 2:17 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, in the 800 block of West 2nd Avenue.

• Stephanie J. Erickson, 42, Janesville, was cited for speeding at 7:28 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, in the 600 block of 1st Street.

• Phyllis R. Anderson, 76, Brodhead, was cited for speeding at 9:53 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, in the 600 block of 1st Street.

• Chad A. Alshouse, 44, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, was cited for speeding at 10:43 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, in the 600 block of 1st Street.

• A 17-year-old Brodhead male was cited for driving with a suspended license and transporting intoxicants as an underager at 9:35 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, in the 400 block of East 4th Avenue. Also cited, for third-offense underage possession of alcohol, was Phillip A. Boyd, 20, Monroe.

• Trever T. Klein, 21, Brodhead, was cited for loud and unnecessary noise at 12:14 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, in the 1900 block of 1st Center Avenue.



New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - Jeffrey Lynne Leggions, 45, Madison, was jailed at 7:27 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, on charges related to an incident reported a day earlier. He faces a felony charge of false imprisonment and misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and battery. His signature bond was set Friday, Jan. 18, at $3,000 with the conditions that he have no contact with the alleged victim or Hearts and Hands Daycare in Mount Horeb. His preliminary hearing is Jan. 30.

• David T. Sullivan, 38, Wisconsin Dells, was cited for driving with a suspended license on Wisconsin 69 at 11th Avenue at 5:39 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, after police stopped him for an equipment violation.

• Cody M. Pfingsten, 24, Monroe, was cited for driving with a suspended license on Wis. 69 at 11th Avenue at 9:03 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, after police stopped him for an equipment violation.

• Reed D. Sutton, 17, Monticello, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia at 10:46 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, after the vehicle he was riding in was stopped for an equipment violation on Wis. 69 at 11th Avenue.

• A disturbance involving an assault was reported in the 1200 block of Wis. 69 at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14. It is still under investigation.

• After police responded to the scene at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, a New Glarus School District student was referred to Juvenile Intake for charges that the student smoked synthetic marijuana on school grounds.

• A credit card and cash were reported stolen from a person at an address within the village at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Allen John Gierhart, 21, Monticello, was arrested on multiple charges at 11:33 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, after a Monticello police officer tried to detain him for having open intoxicants in public. Gierhart resisted, threw a glass through the window of the Monticello squad, causing damage to the vehicle, and attempted to disarm the officer. Green County deputies and New Glarus police were called to the scene. Gierhart continued to resist and kicked a deputy in the head. He was eventually taken to the jail and faces felony charges of disarming an officer and battery to an officer and misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct (two counts), resisting (two counts) and criminal damage to property. In court the following day, his signature bond was set at $3,000 with the conditions that he not drink or enter any establishment that sells primarily alcohol. His preliminary hearing is Jan. 31.

• Scott E. Ayers, 46, Janesville, was cited at an unspecified location for speeding and fourth-offense driving with a suspended license at 7:26 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19.
