MONROE POLICE

MONROE - Nicholas J. Sheesley, 33, Monroe, was arrested at 10:22 p.m. Monday for obstructing an officer after police responded to a disturbance complaint in the 1300 block of 17th Street. Sheesley was released pending court.



GREEN COUNTY SHERIFF

MONROE - Ricky S. Coplien, 30, Brodhead, was arrested at 6:07 p.m. Monday on a Green County warrant for failing to pay a fine. Coplien was released on bond.



NEW GLARUS POLICE

NEW GLARUS - On Wednesday:

• New Glarus Police assisted the Madison Police at 8:49 a.m. with an investigation.

• A vehicle was cited for a 24-hour parking violation in the 300 block of 5th Avenue.

• Alexander D. Gobeli, New Glarus, was cited at 9:05 p.m. for driving without a vehicle registration in the 1300 block of Wis. 69.

On Thursday:

• Mario C. Mardones, New Glarus, was cited at 1 p.m. for driving without vehicle insurance in the 10 block of 2nd Street.

• A dog running at large was reported at 1:09 p.m. near Windlach Street.

• New Glarus Police assisted the Green County Sheriff in locating a wanted person in Belleville.

• New Glarus Police assisted the Dane County Sheriff at 8:09 p.m. with an active case.

On Friday:

• Police assisted the Green County Sheriff at 4:29 p.m. with locating a juvenile runaway.

• A juvenile was arrested at 11:13 p.m. for felony bail jumping.

On Saturday:

• A fraud complaint was made at 11:31 a.m. in the 500 block of 1st Street. The matter is under investigation.

• Strange noises were reported at 7:30 p.m. from a business in the 1500 block of Wis. 69. It was discovered that the noises were ordinary noises from the business.

• Several loud bangs were reported at 8:29 p.m. from a church in the 500 block of 12th Street. Nothing out of the ordinary was found.

On Sunday:

• Katherine J. Aupperle Baker, 56, New Glarus, was cited at 2:25 p.m. for a seatbelt violation at the intersection of Wis. 69 and 11th Avenue.

• A suspicious vehicle was reported at 11:52 p.m. in the 1400 block of Wis. 69.



DARLINGTON POLICE

DARLINGTON - On Jan. 10, Timothy R. Proctor, 26, Argyle, was cited at 4 a.m. for disorderly conduct after a complaint at the Darlington Super 8.

On Wednesday, Peter A. Peterson, 26, Darlington, was arrested at noon on a Lafayette County warrant on Main Street.

DARLINGTON - On Friday:

• A deputy assisted Lafayette County Human Services at 9:39 a.m. on Grove Street in South Wayne.

• A deputy assisted Monroe Probation and Parole at 9:55 a.m. on Wisconsin 11 in South Wayne.

• Andrew J. Turpin, 19, Darlington, was arrested at 8:54 p.m. on six warrants for failing to pay fines owed to the courts. Turpin was jailed.

• Deputies checked an individual's welfare at 11:50 p.m. on Wis. 11 in South Wayne.

On Saturday:

• Deputies assisted the Darlington Police at 2:55 a.m. on Ann Street in Darlington.

• A deputy checked an individual's welfare at 7:34 a.m. on Breeze Terrace in Argyle.

• Livestock on the roadway was reported at 8:53 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Elk Grove.

• A deputy helped unlock a vehicle at 9:36 a.m. on Horseshoe Bend Road, Town of New Diggings.

• Suspicious activity was reported at 12:10 p.m. on Monroe Street in Argyle.

• Deputies checked an individual's welfare at 1:12 p.m. on North Park Street in Belmont.

• A deputy assisted the Grant County Sheriff at 2:40 p.m. on Wis. 11 in Shullsburg.

• A deputy checked an individual's welfare at 3:01 p.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Argyle.

• Suspicious activity was reported at 3:50 p.m. on Sidney Street in Shullsburg.

• Tanya L. Ruiz, 43, Machesney Park, Ill., was cited at 5:23 p.m. for speeding on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington.

• Duane P. Popp, 52, Belmont, was arrested at 6:12 p.m. on two Platteville Police warrants. Popp was transported to the Grant County Jail.

• Livestock on the roadway was reported at 8:09 p.m. on County Z, Town of Kendall.

• Jesse L. Harvey, 35, Dubuque, Iowa, was arrested at 11:37 p.m. on two Darlington Police warrants. Harvey was jailed.

On Saturday:

• A deputy assisted a driver with a flat tire at 3:02 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Lamont.

• A residential alarm as triggered at 3:41 a.m. on Dobbs Road, Town of Lamont.

• A noise complaint was made at 9:16 a.m. on Maple Street in Blanchardville.

• A theft was reported at 10:25 a.m. on Van Buren Street in Benton.

• A residential alarm was triggered at 11:46 a.m. on Pecatonica Road, Town of Darlington.

• A deputy checked an individual's welfare at 1:47 p.m. on Crawford Lane, Town of Benton.

• A civil dispute was reported at 5:40 p.m. on Judgement Street in Shullsburg.

• Suspicious activity was reported at 6 p.m. on Van Buren Street in Benton.

• A deputy checked an individual's welfare at 7:30 p.m. on Locust Street in Blanchardville.

• Nathan A. Hathcock, 20, Poplar Grove, Ill., was cited at 8:05 p.m. for speeding on Wis. 81, Town of Gratiot.

• Jesse J. Golliher, 21, Harvard, Ill., was cited at 9:59 p.m. for driving without proof of vehicle insurance on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot.
