Monroe Police

MONROE - On Thursday, Jan. 10:

- Robert P. Olson, Jr., 29, Monroe, was arrested at 7:40 p.m. in the 600 block of 17th Street on an outstanding warrant issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. Olson was jailed.

- An employee at the Monroe Public Library reported a possible theft of library materials at 7:43 a.m. About $500 in books and CDs have not been returned. Police are investigating a suspect who may longer be a local resident.

- Cash and pain medication were reported stolen out of a parked vehicle in the downtown area at 12:12 p.m.

- An officer left a warning notice for a vehicle parked too close to a fire hydrant at 15th Street and 21st Avenue after responding to a parking complaint at 12:56 p.m.

- A city worker captured a black Labrador dog found wandering in the 1000 block of 8th Avenue at 2 p.m. The dog had a collar dragging an orange clothesline, but no tags. The animal was taken to the Green County Humane Society.

- Residents were warned to shovel the sidewalk in the 1700 block of 13th Street.

- A parent reported a 4-year-old girl was bitten by the family cat at 10:56 p.m. in the 1300 block of 25th Avenue. The girl was taken to the ER for minor injuries. Police filed a mandatory bite order with the Green County Health Department.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Nichole L. White, 24, Lancaster, was transported from the Grant County Jail to the Lafayette County Jail at 8:49 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10. White remains jailed in Darlington on a Department of Corrections warrant.

- A deputy took a report of a suspicious vehicle seen loitering in the area of a residence on Larson Road in the Town of Wayne at 9:10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Rodney G. Beese, 54, Janesville, was taken into custody on a warrant issued by the Department of Corrections after a deputy responded at 1:48 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, to check on the welfare of a man walking on Wisconsin 11 near Richland Road in the Town of Jefferson. Beese was jailed.
