Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD - William A. Drewes, 47, Juda, was cited Sunday, Jan. 1, for prowling, trespassing, obstructing an officer, disorderly conduct and destruction of property stemming from a Dec. 31 incident.

Monroe Police

MONROE - The owner of a trailer was warned at 2:24 a.m. Friday, Jan. 6, for parking it in the road in the 2600 block of 8th Street, a violation of city code.

- Police took a report at 3:43 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, that a vehicle in the 600 block of 3rd Avenue had been keyed twice in recent weeks.

- A gas station in the 1600 block of 9th Street reported a gas drive-off at 10:12 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6. The driver was contacted, and the incident is under investigation.

- A property owner in the 2000 block of 9th Street was warned at 2:09 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, for having bags of garbage sitting in the yard, a violation of city code.

- An undetermined amount of cash was reported stolen at a business in the 1400 block of 17th Street. The theft was reported at 4:09 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, and is still under investigation.

- A property owner was warned at 8:10 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, for having bags of garbage on the porch and around a building in the 700 block of 11th Street, a violation of city code.

New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - Dustin J. Jindra, 24, New Glarus, was cited for driving without vehicle insurance after police stopped him at 3:38 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, on Wisconsin 69 at 14th Avenue for improper display of registration.

- Robert J. Christopher, 57, Shullsburg, was cited for a seatbelt violation and for driving without vehicle insurance at 4:10 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, on Wis. 69 at 6th Avenue.

- Zachery W. Jensen, 22, Monroe, was cited for having open intoxicants in a motor vehicle at 5:22 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, on 11th Avenue at Railroad Street. A passenger, Maxwell R. Engstrom, 21, Albany, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia after he allegedly claimed ownership.

- A juvenile was cited for speeding, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at 10:08 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, in the 1700 block of 2nd Street, then released to a parent.

- Officers responded to a report of gun shots at 4:36 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, north of County NN in the area of the New Glarus Woods State Park, but no one was located.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Jeremy V. Behlke, 35, Galena, was cited for speeding and driving without a valid license at 12:07 a.m. Friday, Jan. 6, on County W in the Town of New Diggings.

- Dean R. Ellis, 46, Mosinee, was cited for speeding and for a seatbelt violation at 8:16 a.m. Friday, Jan. 6, on Wisconsin 81 in the Town of Elk Grove. A passenger, Joshua A. Pennings, 30, Schofield, was also cited for a seatbelt violation.

- Andrew A. Stocks, 27, Lena, Ill., and Kyle A. Heidenreich, 26, Warren, Ill., were cited for obstructing and resisting after a deputy attempted to make contact with them at 1:47 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, on Stonewood Lane in the Town of Darlington.

- Timothy P. Gordon, 32, Shullsburg, was arrested at 2:28 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, on a charge of driving with a revoked license on Wis. 81 in the Town of Darlington. He was later released pending a court appearance.

- Jeremy L. Hefty, 29, Benton, was cited at 3:21 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, for driving at an unreasonable and imprudent speed on Wisconsin 11 in the Town of Shullsburg. He was also arrested for a warrant issued by Iowa County. The owner of the vehicle, Darren M. Dressler, 20, Lancaster, was cited for not having proof of insurance.
