Albany Police

ALBANY - Robert W. Holst, Jr., 40, Albany, was arrested Saturday, Feb. 16, on charges of driving while intoxicated, an expired vehicle registration and driving with a prohibitive alcohol level.

• Tammy L. Larson, 47, Evansville, was cited Saturday, Feb. 9, for smoking in a public facility, Center Tavern, 108 N. Water St., where she bartends.

• Denise L. Hansen, 41, Albany, was cited Saturday, Feb. 16, for driving without a valid license.

Brodhead Police

• Sally A. Kuhlmeier, 55, Dakota, Ill., was cited for speeding at 9:58 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, in the 600 block of 1st Street.

Darlington Police

DARLINGTON - Cirilo Hernandez-Mendoza, 37, Darlington, was cited for driving without a license or vehicle insurance at 12:12 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, following a traffic stop on Galena Street.

• Kyle J. Mulcahy, 20, Darlington, was cited for driving after drinking alcohol, in violation of Wisconsin's Absolute Sobriety laws, at 2:43 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, following a traffic stop on Main Street. He was also cited for underage drinking.

• Mitchell L. Thompson, 26, Kieler, was cited for disorderly conduct at 8:28 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, following contact with police in the 100 block of West Alice Street.

Monroe Police

MONROE - David C. Hanson, 53, Monroe, was arrested in the 2100 block of 15th Avenue at 12:59 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, on a second-offense charge of driving while intoxicated. He was also cited for driving with a revoked license and no vehicle insurance. He was released with a court date.

• Kennedy J. Dammen, 19, Monroe, was cited for driving with a suspended license at 12 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, in the 1200 block of 20th Avenue.

• Richard L. Detra II, 20, Monroe, was cited for excessive acceleration at 2:11 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, in the 1700 block of 9th Street.

• Kristen J. Cannova, 17, Monroe, was cited for failure to yield right-of-way from a stop sign after police responded at 3:48 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries at 10th Avenue and 10th Street. Cannova collided with a vehicle driven by Matthew J. Hodgson, 16, Monroe.

• Kathryn A. Stough, 41, Davis, Ill., was cited for retail theft at 4:33 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15. She allegedly shoplifted about $50 in clothing, jewelry and jewelry cleaning supplies from Shopko, 405 W. 8th St.

• Michael C. Kollatz, 31, Monroe, was cited for allowing a dog to run at large after police responded at 8:45 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, to a complaint about a St. Bernard in the 500 block of 16th Avenue. The Green County Humane Society was called to take the animal to the shelter, but Kollatz claimed the dog before it was taken away. It is not the first time the Humane Society has been called to pick up the St. Bernard.

• A passed-out male was reported in the hallway of an apartment building in the 1700 block of 11th Street at 4:49 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13. Police turned him over to a family member.

• Unsolicited and unwanted texts from an ex-boyfriend were reported by a woman in the 600 block of 2nd Street at 1:13 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14. The ex-boyfriend told police she still has some of his stuff. Police advised she could get a restraining order.

• A broken back window on a vehicle was reported at 7:58 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14. Nothing was reported stolen from the vehicle.

• The owner of a German Shepherd in the 1900 block of 9th Street reported his dog missing at 11:47 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14. He opened the door and the dog took off. If found, call dispatch at 608-329-2400.

• Police responded to a 911 call in the 1100 block of 17th Avenue at 3:17 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15. A wife and husband were arguing. No one was arrested, and the couple voluntarily separated for the night.

• A "fat Beagle named Gunner" was reported running at large in a neighbor's yard in the 2000 block of 16th Street at 10:33 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15. Gunner ran back into his own yard when he saw the squad car coming down the block. His owner was warned to keep Gunner on a leash.

• Public library staff notified police at 12:58 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13, that they were issuing a no-trespassing order against an unruly 13-year-old girl.

• A dog left in a parked vehicle on the downtown Square concerned a caller at 2:04 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15. Police checked on the animal and found it was fine and a window had been cracked for it. Police advised the dog owner that the situation had raised concern.

• Police were called at 2:11 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, to an ongoing complaint of a cat who roams inside and outside of a building in the 200 block of 10th 1/2 Street.

• A woman reported at 3:23 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, that a credit card and cellphone were stolen out of her purse as it sat in a shopping cart while she shopped in the Colony Brand shops at 640 8th St.

• A pair of women's prescription eyeglasses were found in the 1700 block of 11th Street and brought to the police station at 6:42 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15. To claim, call dispatch at 608-329-2400.

• Police were called to an argument between a husband and wife in the 500 block of West 21st Street at 1:23 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16. No one was arrested. The couple agreed to separate for the night.

• A property owner was warned for having two vehicles with expired plates in a driveway in the 2700 block of 8th Avenue at 8:39 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16.

• A manager reported money missing from the cash till at Taco Bell, 606 W. 8th St., at 9:48 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16. Police are investigating.

• Police took a report at 11:36 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, that a rock had been thrown into a window at Laughing Trout Restaurant, 407 6th St., sometime between 11:30 p.m. and 3 a.m. the previous night. The window was broken.

• A few hundred dollars cash was found in the 1000 block of 5th Avenue at 1:16 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16. To claim, call dispatch at 608-329-2400 and be ready to specify amount and denominations.

• An 18-year-old woman in the 500 block of West 21st Street reported at 3:09 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, that her mother was refusing to hand over the daughter's birth certificate, Social Security card or any other government-issued identification. Police advised them to work it out.

• A car was egged the previous night in the 2400 block of 6th Avenue, reported a caller at 5:02 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16.

• A property owner reported the theft of construction equipment and other items from the garage of a rental property he owns in the 800 block of 24th Street at 5:43 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16.

• A gas drive-off was reported at Kwik Trip, 1019 9th St., at 7:59 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 17.

• Police responded to a complaint of loud music in an apartment complex in the 400 block of 4th Avenue at 3:29 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, and warned the tenants to turn it down.

New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - Amanda M. Barr, 25, Trabuco Canyon, Calif., was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia after police responded to a report at 12:41 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, of drug paraphernalia found at an area business. Barr was also cited for smoking in an enclosed space. Charges are pending against a second person in the case.

• Chantel M. Williams, 17, Monroe, was cited for driving with a suspended license at 6:12 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, after being stopped for an equipment violation on Wisconsin 69 at 11th Avenue.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Brian J. Edl, 39, South Wayne, was apprehended at 9:53 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, on a probation violation warrant issued by the Department of Corrections. He was jailed.

• Tony L. Gilbertson, 34, Darlington, was arrested on a third-offense charge of driving while intoxicated and cited for failure to have control after deputies responded to a rollover accident on Wisconsin 81 in the Town of Argyle at 12:49 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16. Gilbertson was westbound when he failed to negotiate a curve and lost control, causing the 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier to slide across the road and roll onto its roof in the opposite ditch. Gilbertson was treated at the scene by Argyle EMS for minor injuries. The Cavalier was extensively damaged and towed. The Argyle Fire Department assisted at the scene.

• After he crashed a 2004 Chevrolet SUV on Wis. 11 in the Town of Gratiot early Saturday, Feb. 16, Trey P. Hamilton, 21, Belleville, was arrested on charges of driving with a revoked license, hit-and-run on property adjacent to a highway, failure to notify police of an accident and failure to have control. Hamilton was westbound when he lost control, causing the SUV to slide into the ditch, where it hit a rock wall, traveled back onto the road and rolled over. He was located several hours later, at about 4:30 a.m., after deputies responded to a report of a suspicious person at a nearby residence. Hamilton reported injuries from the crash. The SUV was extensively damaged and towed. The Gratiot Fire Department, Gratiot First Response and Rural Medical Ambulance assisted at the scene. Hamilton was later released.

• Miguel Mendez, 29, Darlington, was taken into custody in Grant County on a Lafayette County warrant and transported to the jail in Darlington at 3:53 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 17. He posted bond and was released.

• Troy D. Jamison, 21, Darlington, was cited for speeding on Wis. 11 in the Town of Gratiot at 8:47 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16.

• Tanner R. Bauman, 18, Juda, and Hannah K. Samson, 18, Monroe, were cited for underage drinking after a deputy responded to a suspicious activity complaint at a location on Wis. 11 in South Wayne at 11:13 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16.

• Adam N. O'Brian, 32, Darlington, was cited for failure to have control after a one-vehicle accident with no injuries on Wis. 11 in the Town of New Diggings at 12:07 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17. He was eastbound when he failed to negotiate a curve, lost control and hit a guard rail. The 2006 Chrysler van was moderately damaged and driven from the scene.

• Deputies assisted Argyle police with investigating a burglary at a business on North State Street in Argyle at 11:54 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16. The business had been ransacked.

• A dog running at large on County O in the Town of Shullsburg was reported at 2:09 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16.

• A dog running at large and causing damage to livestock was reported at 5:05 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, on Mine Road in the Town of Elk Grove.

• A hit-and-run on County F in the Town of Fayette discovered at 11:06 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, remains under investigation. An unknown vehicle was southbound when the driver veered across the road and hit a guardrail, causing extensive damage. The Lafayette County Highway Department assisted with clearing the damaged guardrail from the road.

• Deputies responded to a verbal argument between several people at a residence on South Main Street in Blanchardville at 4:50 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 17.

• Vandalism to a mailbox on Spore Road in the Town of Lamont the previous night was reported at 10:02 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 17.

• A deputy assisted Darlington police at the scene of a domestic dispute on Arthur Street in Darlington at 9:15 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17.
