Albany Police

ALBANY - A juvenile was cited for disorderly conduct on Nov. 28.

On Friday:

• Karen L. Little, 35, Albany, was cited for driving after suspension.

• Austin D. Flood, 22, Albany, was arrested for felony bail jumping.

• A juvenile was referred for charges of disorderly conduct and battery Sunday.



Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD - For the week of Nov. 26 to Dec. 2, there were 14 calls for service, 12 vehicle registrations, 47 citizen assists, 26 security checks, 12 assist other agencies, six traffic stops, 11 911 calls and seven EMS calls.

• A barking dog was reported at 1:24 p.m. Nov. 26 in the 700 block of East 4th Avenue. Contact was made, and a warning was issued.

• A domestic disturbance was reported at 3:19 p.m. Nov. 28 in the 600 block of East Fourth Avenue. The matter was referred to the Green County District Attorney's Office.

On Wednesday:

• A warning for trespassing was issued at 3:09 a.m. in the E200 block of 23rd Street after a suspicious vehicle was reported in a parking lot after business hours.

• A 58-year-old Waunakee man was cited for speeding and operating after suspension at 7:12 p.m. in the 600 block of 1st Street.

On Thursday:

• A 26-year-old Janesville man was cited for speeding at 6:40 a.m. in the 800 block of East 9th Avenue.

• A 21-year-old Janesville woman was cited for speeding at 1:11 p.m. in the 100 block of 1st Street.

• A 75-year-old Harvard, Illinois, man was cited for speeding at 1:26 p.m. in the 100 block of East 9th Avenue.

On Friday:

• A code violation was reported at 9:35 a.m. in the 700 block of East 8th Avenue for a non-operational vehicle on the property. Contact was made, and the matter was resolved.

• Disorderly conduct was reported at 12:29 p.m. in the 1100 block of 11th Street after a report of subjects doing donuts in the Pearl Island parking lot. Contact was made with two subjects and verbal warnings were issued along with restitution pending.

• A 21-year-old Beloit man was arrested on an active warrant issued from Beloit Court at 1:34 p.m. in the 1000 block of West Exchange Street.

• Theft was reported at 3:48 p.m. in the 1600 block of 1st Center Avenue after two subjects shoplifted alcohol. The investigation continues.

• A dog at large was reported at 4:13 p.m. in the 300 block of 1st Center Avenue. The owner was located, and a warning was issued.

• A trespassing complaint was reported at 9:11 p.m. in the 800 block of East 2nd Avenue. Police have no suspects and no damage was done.

On Saturday:

• A dog at large was reported at 1:17 p.m. in the 900 block of West Exchange Street. Contact was made with the owner and a warning was issued.



New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - On Nov. 27:

• An injured animal was reported at 11:27 a.m. in the 900 block of 1st Street. The racoon was dispatched.

• A road hazard was reported at 9:16 p.m. in the 1400 block of Wis. 69.

On Nov. 28:

• Police responded to a 911 call at 8:50 a.m. in the 1800 block of 2nd Street. It was a misdial, and everything was fine.

• Austin J. Boegel, 20, Monticello, was cited for driving without insurance at 8:42 p.m. after a stop for equipment violation on Wis. 69.

• A barking dog was reported at 9:57 p.m. in the 400 block of 14th Avenue. The problem was resolved.

On Wednesday:

• Police unlocked a vehicle at 12:22 p.m. in the 500 block of 5th Street.

• Police cited a vehicle that wasn't registered parked on the street at 10:48 p.m. in the 400 block of 5th Avenue. 

On Thursday:

• Police assisted Green County Sheriff at 8:45 a.m. with a juvenile runaway investigation.

• Police assisted Green County Human Services with an investigation at 9:01 a.m.

• Police assisted the Green County Sheriff with a suicidal subject at 4:51 p.m. in the Township of New Glarus.

• A civil issue reference property was reported at 6:28 p.m. on 6th Avenue. Police remained on scene while a subject removed property.  

• A report of damage to some Christmas lights and a torn flag was taken at 8:36 p.m. on 8th Avenue.

On Friday:

• A complaint of a subject carrying a firearm was reported at 1:54 p.m. in the village by Valle Tell Drive. The area was checked, and no one was seen who appeared to be hunting. Police want to remind all that hunting is prohibited within the village limits and it is not allowed to discharge weapons within the village limits.  

• A dog at large was reported at 3:20 p.m. in the village. The dog was later returned to its owners.

• A truck that lost its front tire and rim in the lane of traffic was reported at 5:27 p.m. on Wis. 69 at 6th Avenue. The vehicle was eventually repaired and removed from the intersection.

• Police assisted the Green County Sheriff with a suicidal subject at 11:04 p.m. on Wis. 39 in York Township.

On Saturday:

• Police issued about 13 alternate side parking warnings at 1:32 a.m. for vehicles violating the winter parking in the village.  

• A dog at large was reported at 10:46 a.m. Contact was made with the owner and they were advised of the village ordinance and warned.

• A dead cat was reported at 11:41 a.m. on County W at Hoesly Road. The cat was struck by a vehicle and a message was left for public works to remove the animal. 

• Police removed a dead rabbit in the road that was struck by a vehicle at 12:02 p.m. in the 300 block of Kubly Road. 

• A domestic disturbance was reported at 11:59 p.m. in the 300 block of Elmer Road. People were reportedly yelling in an apartment building. The matter was investigated, and it was a domestic disturbance between a boyfriend and girlfriend. The parties were separated for the night and reports will be forwarded to the district attorney.

On Sunday: 

• Police issued about 21 alternate side parking warnings at 2:23 a.m. for vehicles violating the winter parking in the village.



Darlington Police

DARLINGTON - Gabriel Lazarski, 52, Darlington, was arrested at 6:53 a.m. Saturday for disorderly conduct following the report of a domestic incident on Frank Street. Lazarski was booked into the Lafayette County Jail.

On Sunday:

• Young Arnold, 47, Shullsburg, was cited at 2:30 p.m. for issuing a worthless check following a complaint at a business on Wisconsin 23 in Darlington.

• Yanglin Lu, 27, Chicago, Illinois, was cited at 6:55 a.m. for speeding in excess of 30-34 mph on a state highway following a traffic stop on Wis. 23 in Darlington.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Friday:

• Cornelius D. Gibson, 20, Zion, Illinois, was cited at 12:19 a.m. for no proof of insurance on Wis. 11 in Shullsburg.

• A deputy responded at 2:45 p.m. to Tollackson Road in Wayne Township for a 911 misdial.

• An injured animal on the road was reported at 6:26 p.m. on County O in Shullsburg Township.

• Deputies assisted Argyle Police with a civil dispute at 7:29 p.m. on East Milwaukee Street in Argyle.

• Travis J. Bartels, 21, Platteville, was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign, operating without a valid driver's License and no proof of insurance at 8:51 p.m. on County F in Willow Springs Township.

• Kimberly A. Alt, 42, Benton, was cited for speeding at 11:27 p.m. on County W in Monticello Township.

• An erratic driver was reported at 11:37 p.m. on Wis. 11 in Gratiot Township. Shullsburg Police assisted.

On Saturday:

• Deputies assisted Darlington Police at 6:53 a.m. on Frank Street in Darlington for a domestic dispute.

• An erratic driver was reported at 10:47 a.m. on Wis. 11 in Seymour Township.

• An animal running at large was reported at 12:23 p.m. on Stuart Road in Wiota Township.

• A traffic hazard was reported at 2:43 p.m. on Dunbarton Road in Shullsburg Township.

• Suspicious activity was reported at 3:26 p.m. on Mitchell Hollow Road in Belmont Township.

• Michael E. Wallock, 57, Wheaton, Illinois, was cited at 4:05 p.m. for speeding on Wis. 23 in Gratiot Township.

• Suspicious activity was reported at 4:50 p.m. to West Mound Avenue in Belmont. Jeremy E. Gutierrez, 26, Dodgeville, was arrested for a probation and parole hold, disorderly conduct, possession of drug paraphernalia, standing on roadway and pedestrian failure to cross on crosswalk. Gutierrez was taken to the Lafayette County Jail where he remains in custody. 

• Deputies assisted Darlington Police with a traffic complaint at 5:53 p.m. on Main Street in Darlington.

• An injured animal in the road was reported at 6:18 p.m. on County D in Fayette Township.

• Deputies assisted Cuba City Police with a traffic stop at 7:02 p.m. on South Cody Street in Cuba City.

On Sunday:

• A deputy assisted Darlington Police at 12:50 a.m. on Galena Street in Darlington for a business alarm.

• John K. Hocking, 45, Darlington, was cited for no proof of insurance at 6:23 p.m. on Wis. 23 in Darlington Township.

• Jenna N. Lederman, 19, Muskego, was cited for speeding at 8:17 p.m. on Wis. 11 in Gratiot Township.

• Dominique C. Stanton, 19, Rewey, was cited at 9:11 p.m. for failure to stop at a stop sign on West Mound Road in Belmont Township.

• Suspicious activity was reported at 9:31 p.m. on Carnak Clun Lane in Shullsburg.
