MONROE - On Tuesday, Dec. 11:

• Kathe D. Gehler, 60, Freeport, Ill., was cited for retail theft at 4:38 p.m. after she reportedly shoplifted clothing valued at $31 from Walmart, 300 6th Ave. W.

• Police are investigating truancy violations reported at 7:11 a.m. at Monroe Alternative Charter School, 1220 16th Ave., involving a 16-year-old girl and a 17-year-old girl.

• A small Beagle-Terrier mix dog that has been running at large over the past few days at a trailer park in the 500 block of West 21st Street was caught at about 12:35 p.m. and taken to the Green County Humane Society.

• A gas drive-off was reported at 1:52 p.m. at Monroe Boco BP, 907 20th Ave.

• A dog owner was warned after police responded to a repeat complaint at 2:52 p.m. that the dog was left alone at an unoccupied residence in the 900 block of 10th Street and has been bothering neighbors by barking and howling.

• A folder containing vital information, including a marriage license, Social Security card and birth certificate, was reported lost at 8:17 p.m. The woman reporting the missing folder told police it could be anywhere. If found, call dispatch at (608) 329-2400.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On Tuesday, Dec. 11:

• Timothy Walls, 32, no known address, was arrested at the Wisconsin Department of Corrections Probation and Parole Offices in Monroe at 1:16 p.m. for a probation violation. He was jailed.

• Matthew Schmid, 32, Janesville, was arrested at the Wisconsin Department of Corrections Probation and Parole Offices in Monroe at 3:18 p.m. for a probation violation. He was jailed.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - A deputy responded to the Green County Jail at 9:11 a.m. to transport Cecilia Zepeda, 18, Monroe, on a valid warrant issued by Lafayette County. She posted bond and was released.
