DARLINGTON - On Wednesday:

• Nicholas J. Small, 26, Lancaster, was arrested at 4:18 a.m. for driving while intoxicated, first offense, on West Water Street, Shullsburg.

• A deputy responded at 6:50 a.m. to a report of cattle on the roadway on Wisconsin 11, Gratiot Township.

• A deputy responded to a report of an injured fox at 10:29 a.m. on Wisconsin 81, Darlington Township. The fox was hit by an unknown vehicle and ran off the roadway as the deputy approached the animal.

• A deputy responded to a noise complaint at Blackhawk School in South Wayne at 4:47 p.m. Loud music was coming from inside the building but had ceased prior to the deputy's arrival.

• A deputy investigated a suspicious vehicle at 6:20 p.m. on West Water Street, Shullsburg.

• A deputy responded at 9:40 p.m. to a residence for a child custody dispute on Main Street, Gratiot.
