Monroe Police

MONROE - Duane R. Rodebaugh, 32, Monroe, was arrested at 12:52 a.m. Friday in the 1700 block of 30th Avenue on a warrant issued by the Monroe Police Department for failure to pay a fine. Rodebaugh was jailed pending court.

• Justin D. Nyman, 22, Adams, was arrested at 2:37 a.m. Saturday in the 1000 block of 8th Street on a warrant issued by the Green County Sheriff's Department. Nyman was jailed pending court.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On Saturday:

• Deputies responded to a report of an underage drinking party at a residence in the N7600 block of Loyalty Road, Town of York. Deputies reported observing about 75 people around the residence, most of whom fled into the surrounding woods. The host of the party, Ressa M. Cushman, 18, Blanchardville, was cited at 11:17 p.m. for contributing to underage alcohol consumption. James A. D. Reddell, 18, Dodgeville, was cited for underage alcohol consumption. Athena N. Peterson, 17, Blanchardville, provided false information to officers and was arrested for obstruction and cited for underage alcohol consumption. While deputies were investigating the drinking party on Loyalty Road, a 6-month-old Australian Blue Heeler puppy was found unattended in a vehicle with the windows rolled down a couple of inches. The owner, Nicole L. Weber, 19, Benton, was cited for improper care of an animal and underage alcohol consumption. All subjects were released pending court.

• Lindsay F. Morhbacher, 30, Brodhead, was arrested at 6:20 p.m. for driving while intoxicated, first offense, with a passenger younger than 16 years old after deputies responded to the 6th Street Wisconsin 11/81 eastbound ramp for a welfare check. Morhbacher was released pending court.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Friday:

• Deputies responded to a report of a restraining order violation at a residence on Highland Street, Village of Belmont, at 1:34 a.m.

• Deputies responded at 11:41 p.m. to a report of a domestic disturbance at a location on County J, Benton Township.

On Saturday:

• Jerry E. Oakley, 59, Tipton, Iowa, was cited at 6:50 p.m. for recklessly driving an ATV following a stop on the Cheese Country Trail.

• A deputy responded to a report of an injured animal in the roadway on Wisconsin 81, Elk Grove Township, at 7 p.m.

• A deputy was dispatched at 8:31 p.m. to a report of an ATV driving erratically on the Cheese Country Trail, Village of Gratiot.

• Florian P. Janke, 29, Mount Horeb, was taken into custody at 9:07 p.m. following a traffic stop on U.S. 151, Belmont Township, on a warrant issued through Dane County. Janke was jailed pending court.

On Sunday:

• A deputy responded to a report of criminal damage to property at 10:24 a.m. on Ollie Belle Road, New Diggings Township.

• A deputy was dispatched at 8:48 p.m. to a report of harassment at a residence on County XX, Belmont Township.



New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - On Monday, Aug. 18:

• Police were dispatched at 4:20 p.m. to a report of a red fox that appeared to be sick in the area of the 600 block of 8th Street. The fox took off from the area.

• Police responded to a report of two suspicious Styrofoam coolers with rocks on top of them in the 100 block of 2nd Avenue. The coolers were opened and found to contain garbage. The coolers were disposed of.

• Police investigated a suspicious vehicle complaint at 8:45 p.m. at Veteran's Park. Two people were just hanging out in the vehicle talking.

On Tuesday:

• Police received a theft complaint at 10 a.m. from a business in the 1400 block of Wisconsin 69. Investigation revealed that several pieces of scrap metal were taken from the business. Police encourage anyone with information to contact the department at 527-2145.

• Police took a complaint of suspicious phone calls made to a resident at 10:47 a.m. from the Internal Revenue Service trying to obtain personal information. No information was given.

• Police received a complaint of a red fox in the Swiss Cemetery at 12:04 p.m. Officers checked the area and the fox was not found. It is believed the fox is residing in the area.

On Wednesday:

• Police responded at 12:55 p.m. to a business on 6th Avenue for a report of items placed on a bench in the form of a shrine. Some of the items did not belong to the business.

• Police responded to a report of a red fox in the 600 block of 6th Avenue at 5:04 p.m.

• Police were dispatched at 8:07 p.m. to a report of a red fox in the 300 block of 10th Avenue.

• Police investigated a report of suspicious men in the area of the 900 block of 2nd Street at 10:34 a.m. Friday. The men were located and everything was determined to be OK.

• Police, Green County sheriff's deputies and the Department of Natural Resources responded at 5:42 p.m. Sunday to a welfare check of a woman who got out of her vehicle and was walking along Wis. 69. The woman was not located.



Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD - Dustin D. Harnack, 37, Evansville, was cited on Friday for issuing worthless checks. Harnack was released pending court.
