Monroe Police

MONROE - On Wednesday, Aug. 22:

- Karie L. Sweet, 42, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of bail jumping in the 2400 block of 11th Avenue at 3:14 a.m., after police found that she had been drinking alcohol in violation of her bond conditions on previous charges. She was jailed. As a result of the arrest, she faces two Class A misdemeanor counts of bail jumping in Green County Circuit Court. Her signature bond is set at $1,000.

- Shannon M. Steffes, 34, Monroe, was cited for disorderly conduct in the 2300 block of 11th Avenue after police responded to a complaint at 1:52 a.m. that he was yelling in the street, making "gang signs" and had threatened to stab the complainant and her dog.

- David M. Bardell, 50, Dodgeville, was cited for failure to yield right-of-way after police responded at 4:01 p.m. to the intersection of 16th Avenue and 23rd Street for a motor vehicle accident with no injuries. Bardell collided with a vehicle driven by Dana J. Stark, 16, Monroe. Stark's vehicle then collided with the front porch of a residence in the 2300 block of 16th Avenue. Both vehicles were towed.

- The theft of a $120 GPS unit from a pick-up truck was reported at 11:05 a.m. in the 2200 block of 1st Street. Police have no suspects.

- A set of keys with a SanDisk USB flash drive were found in the 1400 block of 17th Street and brought at 12:30 p.m. to the police station. To claim, call dispatch at (608) 329-2400.

- Police began an investigation at 2:33 p.m. into an allegation that a person in another state was using the social security number of a resident in the 800 block of 13th Avenue.

- An 18-speed bicycle was found in the 2000 block of Ridgeway Road and brought at 5:16 p.m. to the police station. To claim, call dispatch at (608) 329-2400.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Wednesday, Aug. 22:

- Zachary L. Huett, 23, Shullsburg, was transported at 7 a.m. to the Dodge Correctional Institution in Waupun.

- Francis A. Roche, 21, Darlington, was cited for driving at an unreasonable and imprudent speed at 1:12 p.m. on County Shop Road in the Town of Darlington.

- David J. Wapneski, 54, Platteville, was cited for speeding and driving without proof of vehicle insurance at 4:49 p.m. on Wisconsin 81 in the Town of Seymour.
