MONROE - On Monday, Aug. 13:
- Christopher E. Leopold, 40, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct at 1:11 a.m. at his residence in a mobile home park in the 400 block of West 21st Street. The landlord notified police earlier in the night that Leopold yelled and swore at him during a dispute over shared electricity between mobile homes. Leopold allegedly brandished a 65-pound compound bow at the landlord and threatened that he wasn't "afraid to use it and kill someone tonight." When officers arrived, Leopold was reportedly belligerent. Police seized as evidence a camouflage Hoyt Vectrix Plus bow with eight arrows. Leopold was jailed on the disorderly conduct charge and on a probation hold issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. Later Monday, Leopold stood mute on the Class B misdemeanor charge in Green County Circuit Court. He signed a $1,000 signature bond Tuesday. His next court appearance is Sept. 18.
- William E. Messerli, 65, Monroe, was cited at 9:46 a.m. for trespassing in Dick's Piggly Wiggly, 725 8th St., in violation of an order that he not enter the grocery store.
- Notice was issued at 10:39 a.m. to a property owner in the 1100 block of 17th Street to clean up trash in the yard.
- Police took a report at 11:08 a.m. that a 14-week-old female kitten snuck a ride in the undercarriage of a vehicle from its owners' rural Monroe home to the 1000 block of 8th Street and then ran off. Police notified the Green County Humane Society.
- A person was warned at 2:21 p.m. for riding a bicycle on the sidewalk in the downtown Square.
- Police have a suspect in a fraud case reported at 3:54 p.m. in the 800 block of 26th Street. The suspect allegedly stole checks and forged them to pay for $800 to $900 in goods and services at businesses across the region.
- A pair of glasses was found in Twining Park and brought to the police station at 10:51 p.m. To claim, call dispatch at 329-2400.

MONROE - On Monday, Aug. 13:
- Jillian M. Gowen, 25, Monticello, was at the Green County Justice Center at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 13, when she learned of a warrant for her arrest. Upon law enforcement attempting contact with her, she fled the Justice Center on foot but was apprehended in the 600 block of 30th Avenue in Monroe by deputies and New Glarus police, who had been at the Justice Center. She was jailed on a body-only warrant for failure to appear in court.
- Joseph G. Janisch, 28, New Glarus, was cited for driving with a suspended license and driving without vehicle insurance after deputies responded at 5:50 a.m. to a vehicle vs. deer crash on Wisconsin 92 east of Freitag Road in the Town of Brooklyn. Janisch swerved to miss the deer but collided with it anyway. His vehicle then went across the road and into a ditch. Janisch was not injured. The vehicle was extensively damaged and towed.
- Jeffery A. Johnson, 32, rural Brooklyn, was cited for driving with a suspended license and inattentive driving after deputies responded at 1:37 p.m. to a two-vehicle crash on Wisconsin 11 at County G in the Town of Spring Grove. Derik Harding, 25, rural Juda, was westbound on Wis. 11 and preparing to turn when Johnson rearended him. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles were extensively damaged and towed.

DARLINGTON - On Monday, Aug. 13:
- Jeremy L. Heins, 28, Browntown, was cited for driving without proof of vehicle insurance at 2:40 p.m. on Wis. 11 in the Town of Wayne.
- Benjamin S. Hedeman, 31, Monroe, was cited for speeding at 3:01 p.m. on Wis. 11 in the Town of Gratiot.
- Austin R.E. Kennicker, 17, Cuba City, was cited for speeding at 3:20 p.m. on Wis. 11 in the Town of Gratiot.
- Tiffany M. Repa, 20, Warren, Ill., was cited for speeding at 3:44 p.m. on Wisconsin 23 in the Town of Shullsburg.
