Pauline Jones, age 91 of Juda, died Friday, March 21, 2008 at Pleasant View Nursing Home, Monroe. Pauline was born December 9, 1916 in Jefferson Township, Green County, Wisconsin, the daughter of Fred and Louise (Brand) Affolter. She graduated from Juda High School and married Joseph Jones Sr. on April 26, 1935 in Dubuque, Iowa. They farmed in the Juda area until moving to their home south of Juda in 1978. Pauline was a member of the Juda Zion United Methodist Church and the Helpful Homemakers Club.

Survivors include a daughter, Kathleen Harder-Nyman of Monroe; two sons, Anthony (Diane) Jones, and Joseph (Julie) Jones, all of Juda; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Karline Peterson of Sierra Vista, AZ, and Sophie (Robert) Kleckler of McConnell, IL; and two sisters-in-law, Margrit Affolter of Monroe, and Alice Jones of Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph on May 20, 1982; three brothers, Paul, John, and Ed Affolter; and six sisters, Gertrude Anderson, Margaret Stuessy, Mabel Searles, Alice Jones, Marie Berry, and Rose Lindholm.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at the NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, Monroe. Reverend Thomas Miller of Zion United Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
