JANESVILLE - Pauline I. Peters, age 77, of Janesville died on Sunday, March 20, 2011, at her daughter's home. She was born in Browntown on April 3, 1933, the daughter of Freddie and Alta (Hale) Meier. She married Leslie Peters in Browntown on Jan. 7, 1953, and he preceded her in death on March 23, 1995. Pauline was a foster parent for Rock County and had fostered over 200 children. She was a member of Cargill United Methodist Church, its Ruth Circle, a funeral lunch volunteer, and Jefferson Elementary School Breakfast Club. She enjoyed spending time at her campsite, watching the Milwaukee Brewers, playing cards, and spending time with her family.

Pauline is survived by her 4 children: Steven (Mary) Peters, Vicky (Michael) Hebble, Pamela Sawle and Randall (Kelly) Peters all of Janesville; son-in-law, Brad DeRosier of Eulis, TX; 8 grandchildren: Christopher (fiancé Amy), Jason, Erik, Jeremy (Meaghan), Aaron, April, Emily and Jennifer; 2 step grandchildren, Casey and Derek; 4 great grandchildren; and 3 siblings, Rosemary (Buddy) Voegeli of Monroe and Wes (Dort) Meier of Monroe and Betty West of Machesney Park. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leslie; and daughter, Kathleen DeRosier.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 24, 2011, at CARGILL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH with Rev. Forest Wells officiating. Entombment will be in Milton Lawns Mausoleum. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME.
