P. Jon Kauk, age 79, of Albany, died on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at his home. He was born on October 4, 1935, the son of Phillip and Mary (Bartlett) Kauk and was a 1953 graduate of Albany High School.

Jon was in the U.S. Army from 1957 - 1961, serving in Germany and also the Wisconsin National Guard.

Jon married Margaret Keller on December 17, 1960 in Dubuque, IA.

Jon worked for Paidar Manufacturing in Albany, and later worked for Baker Manufacturing in Evansville as a Purchasing Agent retiring in 1998.

He attended the Albany United Methodist Church; served on the Albany Village Board, as Police Commissioner; he enjoyed sports, hunting, fishing, woodworking, gardening, but most of all enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Kauk, of Albany; daughters, Glady (Brian) Day of Argyle; Dena (Rodney) Wendlandt of Oregon; Chris (Raymond) Thurow of Albany; Jonna (Brian) Powell of Oregon; and Sara (Kyle) Shrader of Belleville; sisters, Phyllis Pickett of Brodhead, Jean (Paul) Clark of Brodhead; sisters-in-law, Kathy Kauk, Hazel (Larry) Ommodt, Kathy (Walter) Mueller, and Karla Neild, all of Albany. He is also survived by many grandchildren: Mathew (Meghan), Nicole, Taylor, Erin, Nathan, Garret, Chelsea, Lucas, Michael, Jordan, Sara, Jacob, Alex, Kaydie and Lana; great-grandchildren: Levi, Alivia, Kailee, Jaxson, Elliot and Emersyn.

He is predeceased by his son, Michael; Parents; brother, Richard Kauk; sister, Kathryn Peterson; parents-in-law, George and Nellie Keller; brothers-in-law, Keith and Kenneth Keller; and sister-in-law, Sandy Rhyner.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Albany United Methodist Church, with Pastor Pat Soddy officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Albany, with Military Graveside Services.

Visitation will be on Friday, March 6th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the Church.
