Orville E. Roberts, age 83, of Wautoma, formerly of Monroe, passed away Saturday, September 15, 2012, at the Wild Rose Community Memorial Hospital.
He was born January 13, 1929 in Kansas City, Kansas the son of Orville Earl and Florence Mary (Klingale) Roberts. He married the former Virginia Wilson on the sixth of June, 1959 at Chicago, Illinois. She preceded him in death on November 15, 2008.
Orville served his country in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Boxer in 1946. He was employed as Yardmaster for Conrail Railroad for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed collecting audio books, movies and music albums.
He is survived by one son, Ray (Judi) Roberts, Middlebury, Indiana; one daughter, Dawn Fina, Wautoma; eight grandchildren, Jeremy Fromm, Amy Fromm, Nick Roberts, Tori Roberts, Michael Fina, Anthony Fina, Steve Fina, and James Fina; one great-granddaughter, Cierra Fina; one brother, William (Rita) Roberts; two sisters, Donna Conway and Carol Heintz, all of Illinois. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Beth Fromm; one son, Alan Roberts, and by his parents.
Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at The Greenwood Cemetery in Monroe, Wisconsin.
