MONROE - The Water Utility will be flushing water mains throughout the city from May 3 to 28.
Customers are reminded that some discoloration may occur in their water. The water is safe and is not harmful to your health, according to the utility.
The best way to deal with the discoloration caused by encrusted minerals being flushed from the walls of the mains is to merely turn on the cold water and let it run until the water is clear.
