BRODHEAD - Norman L. Lancaster, age 75, of Brodhead, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2013, at his home, following a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. He was born on June 30, 1938 in Lamont Township, Lafayette, WI, the son of Harlow and Martha (Wenger) Lancaster. He married Mary C. Sommer on April 23, 1960 in Darlington.

Norm worked as an inspector at General Motors of Janesville. He was a member of St. Victor's Catholic Church, Monroe. Norm was an avid sports fan, especially the Chicago Bears and Milwaukee Brewers. He enjoyed playing cards, casinos, but most importantly, spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Mary, Brodhead; children, Lynn Lancaster-Schaefer, Kansas City, MO, David (Julie) Lancaster, Pewaukee, WI; siblings, John (Lucy) Lancaster, Cedar Rapids, IA, Francis Lancaster, Wiota, WI, Louis (Carol) Lancaster, Argyle, WI; a sister, Sharon Coulson, New Berlin, WI, 4 grandchildren, Cheyanna, Allison and Savannah Schaefer, Colin Lancaster, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Lorraine Grimme, and a brother, Kermit Lancaster.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at St. Rose of Lima, Catholic Church, Brodhead with Father Michael Klarer presiding. Burial will be in Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery, Darlington. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2013, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., at the D.L. NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, BRODHEAD.
