Norma K. Arnot, age 89 of Argyle, WI, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at the Monroe Clinic Hospital in Monroe, WI. She was born November 12, 1919 on the Davis family farm in Argyle Township to Oscar and Christine (Hanson) Davis. Norma graduated from Argyle High School and the University of Wisconsin in Platteville. She later attended summer sessions at the University of Wisconsin in Madison and Superior, University of Minnesota in Duluth, and University of Wyoming in Laramie. She taught art in Browntown and in Argyle for many years. On December 23, 1945, she was united in marriage to Robert Arnot at Argyle Lutheran Church.

Norma is survived by two sons: Robert (Ellen) Arnot of Larchmont, NY, and Thomas Arnot of Winter Haven, FL; one sister: Lillian Davitt of Green Bay, WI; six grandchildren: Melissa, Mark, Jesse, Alana, Andrew, and Nicole; and one great-grandchild: Addison Mastopietro. She was preceded in death by her husband: Robert on January 6, 1996; parents: Oscar and Christine Davis; three sisters: Alice Anderson, Olive Leary, and Nina Schwalbe; four brothers: Donald, George, Paul, and Orville Davis.

Norma was an active member of Argyle Lutheran Church and its Women of ELCA for many years. She also served as a Sunday School superintendent and Sunday school teacher in the church. Norma was an organist, junior and senior choir accompanist, and Luther League advisor.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday January 23, 2009 at Argyle Lutheran Church, 100 East Street in Argyle with Rev. John Shep officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery. A visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2009 at Erickson Funeral Home, 60 Breeze Terrace in Argyle.
