Neil Andrew Jacobs of Summerville, SC, husband of Judy Hopkins Jacobs died Saturday, December 12, 2015. He was born in Monroe, WI and was a 1961 graduate of Monroe High School and a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy. Neil was an F-4 fighter pilot in the U. S. Air Force and was a recipient of the Purple Heart after serving in the Vietnam War. He earned an MBA from the University of Colorado and a Ph.D. in Business Finance from the University of South Carolina. He served his country and community well and was an avid triathlete. Neil is survived by his wife of 45 years, a son, Neil Andrew Jacobs, Jr. (Jennifer Modliszewski) of Durham, NC; daughter Nikki Jacobs, of Summerville, SC; grandsons Nicolaus and Theodore Jacobs of Durham, NC; a sister Karen Jacobs of Virginia Beach, VA and a brother George E. Jacobs of Tok, AK.
Private memorial services and burial will be held at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs March 24, 2016.
