Morris J. Fernstaedt age 57 of Argyle, WI passed away Thursday, February 5, 2015 at his home. He was born January 23, 1958 to Merlen J. and Mona M. (Klaas) Fernstaedt in Monroe, WI. Morris graduated from Orangeville, IL High School in 1976. He grew up in Orangeville until moving to Adams Township, WI in Green County in March of 1978 where he farmed with his parents.
Morris is survived by his brother: Mark (Linda) Fernstaedt, Magnolia, DE; three sisters: Marsha (Gary) Lindmark, Rochelle, IL, Monica (Steven) Coon, Freeport, IL, and Marlys (Mike) Slater, Crest Hill, IL. Morris was preceded in death by his mother on May 20, 2013, and his father on May 21, 2014.
Morris was a member of Blanchardville United Methodist Church and Green County Model Rail Roaders. He enjoyed collecting and running model railroads, gardening, and working around the yard. Morris was also an avid Chicago Blackhawks fan.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 12:00 P.M. at Erickson Funeral Home, 801 East Milwaukee Street, Argyle, WI 53504, with Rev. Randy Booth of Monroe United Methodist Church officiating. A visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. on Saturday at the funeral home.
