Milton H. Friedrichs, 87, American farmer, herdsman, son, husband, father and brother passed away Sunday, February, 8, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. Born May 23, 1927 in Doland, SD, he was the son of Fred and Alice (Frehner) Friedrichs. On August 14, 1949 Milton and Shirley Blumer were united in marriage at St. John Church in Monroe, WI. Milton was a lifelong farmer, land was his life, to work, to harvest, to live, to earn and to love. He taught his family of this love, shared it with his wife for over 65 years. Had a strong will, plan and back, made success by using all of them. Carried life's load, his own and others. Like the land that sustained him, he will live on in the spring plantings, the summer heat, fall harvests and in the hearts of his wife, family and friends. He was a member of the Stephenson County Farm Bureau. Surviving are his wife Shirley of Orangeville, three daughters Sheryl (Jim) Byrnes of Edwardsville, Nancy (Scott) Larson of Freeport, Alice (Jeff) McIlvanie of Eleroy, son Dean Milton Friedrichs of Monroe, WI. Five grandchildren Alana Henfling of Edwardsville, Aaron Wagner of Minnetonka, MN, Tim Byrnes of Edwardsville, Keith McIlvanie and Kate McIlvanie both of Eleroy. Seven great grandchildren Maya, Brady, Ryker, Tobias, Ezekiel, Eden, Ayla and one to be born. Two brothers Delmar (Bernice) Friedrichs Stoughton, WI and Dalen Friedrichs of Janesville, WI. Preceding him in death were his parents, three brothers Walter, Milo and Vernon. Cremation rites will be accorded and a Celebration of Milton's life will be held at a later date.
