Michael Richard Leitzen, age 39 of Oak Park Heights, MN formerly of Monroe, WI died unexpectedly in his home on Sunday March 6th, 2011. He was born April 7, 1971 in Freeport IL, the son of Alan and Kathy (Lincicum) Leitzen. Michael attended Monroe High School, Monroe, WI class of 1989. He was employed at Oscar Mayer in Madison for ten years before moving to Minnesota. He was employed by the Oak Park Heights Postal Service for the past six years. Michael enjoyed bicycling, fishing, exercising, reading and gardening. He gained much happiness and satisfaction from giving unselfishly of himself to ensure the well being of his family. Above all his greatest joy was spending time with his two sons.

Surviving are his sons Zachary 14 and Tyler 12, of Marine on St. Croix, MN, his parents Alan and Kathy Leitzen, Roberts, WI, a sister Angela Leitzen, Roberts, a brother Matthew (Sandy) Leitzen, McFarland, WI, maternal Grandmother Kathryn (Moss) Lincicum, Monroe, WI, Paternal Grandfather William D Leitzen, Gratiot, WI, Nieces Janelle Olson, Roberts, WI, Jennifer Bronson, Beaver Dam, WI, Nephew Timothy Bronson, McFarland, WI, one great-nephew Alexander Hardington, Beaver Dam, WI, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by Maternal Grandfather Vernon Lincicum, Paternal Grandmother Bernadine (Ewing) Leitzen, aunt Sharon Sutter and Uncle Keith Sutter.

A Celebration of Life for Michael will be 11AM Saturday March 12, at Trinity Lutheran Church; 1205 Sixth Street in Hudson. Visitation will be on Friday from 4 until 7PM at the O'Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson as well as one hour prior to the service at Trinity on Saturday morning. A Memorial fund is being established to continue Michael's passion in life.

Mike was a loving son, brother, father and friend who loved life. The way he brought love, hope and joy to the lives he touched will never be forgotten. Always in our hearts, we love you.
