Timmy J. Reichling Will live north of Darlington
DARLINGTON - The Lafayette County Sheriff's Department will hold a community notification meeting to announce the release of a sex offender at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 20 in the Lafayette County Courthouse board room.

Timmy J. Reichling, 40, is scheduled to be released from prison March 25. He was convicted of second-degree sexual assault and false imprisonment in 1993, according to the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry. The victim was a 17-year-old female.

Lafayette County Sheriff Scott Pedley said Reichling will live at a family member's residence located in the 1400 block of County F about one mile north of Darlington.

According to the Wisconsin Department of Corrections (DOC), Reichling's criminal history "places him in a classification level which reflects the potential to reoffend."

Pedley said the purpose of the meeting is to inform the public. The meeting isn't intended to cause fear, he said.

There are over 19,000 sex offenders who are required to register with the state, according to the DOC.
