Marvin L. Wyss, age 70, of Monroe, died on Monday, April 25, 2011 at the V.A. Hospital in Madison. He was born on January 14, 1941, in Monroe, the son of Delbert and Norma Wyss, Sr. Marvin entered the U.S. Army on September 7, 1962 and was honorably discharged on September 3,1965. Marvin and Jane Monahan were married on September 11, 1965, in Carthage, NY. He farmed in the area and later was an over the road truck driver with Schanno Transport.
He is survived by his wife, Jane; mother, Norma Wyss; sons, Gregory (Nicole) Wyss, Brian (Carrie) Wyss, Matthew (Adrian) Wyss; daughters, Michele (Rodney) Hesgard, Pamela Wyss all of Monroe, Debra Wyss of Sauk City; grandchildren, Brittany, Brenton, Talia, Danielle, Aaron, Mackenzie, Alex, Joseph, Drew, Brady, Maiya, and William; brother, Delbert (Paula) Wyss, Jr. of Waukon, IA and a sister, Joan (Ron) Wayer. He is predeceased by his father, Delbert, Sr.; a son, Albert Wyss; mother and father-in-law, Charles and Rose Monahan.
Per Marvin's wishes no services are being planned. The Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home is serving the family.
