Marion L. Hagar, age 81, of Fulton, Texas, formerly of Tomahawk passed away Monday, October 10, 2011 at Season's Hospice House in Rochester, Minnesota.
Marion was born on June 27, 1930 in Monticello, Wisconsin to Christian and Bertha (Stauffacher) Schmid. She married Jerry W. Hagar on October 14, 1956, he survives. Marion and Jerry had lived in the Tomahawk area for many years. She had been a Doctor trained practical nurse for Dr. Henderson and Sacred Heart Hospital for many years. Marion had been a member of the Tomahawk United Methodist Church, and a former member of the Tomahawk PTA. Marion had played softball in her early years with the Harrison Softball team, she enjoyed baking, canning, snowmobiling, fishing, and had been a member of curves.
Survivors include: Husband, Jerry Hagar, Fulton, Texas; 2 sons, Rick (Teresa) Hagar, Hudson, WI; Terry (Elizabeth) Hagar, Tomahawk, WI; Daughter, Debra (Vernon) Becker, Mondovi, WI; 2 Brothers, Glenn Schmid Monticello, WI; Henry (Frances) Schmid, Monroe, WI. Marion is further survived by 12 Grandchildren.
A Memorial Service for Marion Hagar will be held on Friday, October 14, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. from Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church. Rev. Mark Gass will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services at 3:00 p.m. Krueger Family Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials are appreciated to the American Cancer Society.
