NEW GLARUS - Marguerite K. Howe, age 85, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2014 at the New Glarus Nursing Home. She was born on November 19, 1928 in Freeport, IL to Albert and Lena (Leiser) Goetz Sr. She taught school for many years and then did secretarial work until retirement in the late 1980's. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially around lakes and beaches and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children; David Howe of Freeport, IL, Jon Howe of Richland Center, WI, Todd Howe of Winnebago, IL, Dawn Jacobs of McConnell, IL and Nancy (Kent) Seuring of Lena, IL. Grandchildren; Joshua (Rachel) Howe, Mary (Dusty) Winrich, Daniel Howe, Ben Howe, Johnathon (Melissa) Howe, Thomas Howe, Nicole Jacobs, Aaron Jacobs, Jordan Jacobs, Kyle Seuring and Brandon Seuring. Five great grandchildren; Noah Howe, Kayla Winrich, Carter Winrich, Riley Howe and Blake Howe. Brother; Albert (Janice) Goetz Jr. of Red Oak, IL.
Preceded in death by her parents, son; infant grandchild and daughter-in-law Sharon L. Howe.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at the Cramer-Leamon Funeral Home in Orangeville.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon till 1:00 PM on Saturday.
Officiating will be Curt Strong.
A memorial has been established in her name.
