Margaret (Marge) C. Marti, 78, of Monroe, Wisconsin died peacefully in her home on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 surrounded in both person and spirit by her loving family. Her presence here will never leave the hearts of those she touched.

She was born on December 10, 1932 in Lafayette County, Wisconsin the daughter of Maurice and Rosalie (Miller) Hughes. In April of 1953, she married Nathan W. Marti at St. Victor Catholic Church in Monroe, Wisconsin. He predeceased her in August of 1994.

She is survived by her children, Greg Marti (Judy) of Edgerton, Deborah K. Andrews (Jeff Holloway) of Monroe, Walt N. Marti (Aimee) of South Burlington, VT, Dick Marti (Ellen) of Monroe and Michael M. Marti (Cheri) of Bloomington, MN; brothers, Joseph (Betty) Hughes, Maurice (Kay) Hughes; sisters, Mary Maurer, Pat (Norm) Grunder, and Ellen (Joe) Milz; grandchildren, Alyshia Sathoff (Matt), Amber Marti, Amy Marti Sellers (Chris), Cassie Marti, Kyle Andrews, Brooke Trenda, Avery Marti and Nathan W. Marti; and great-grandchildren, Nolan and Tenley Sathoff. She was predeceased by her husband, Nathan; her parents; son-in-law, Harold Andrews; grandson, Harold J. Andrews, Jr.; great-grandson, Austin James Andrews; sisters, Helena Bregenzer & Barbara Murphy; and brothers, Michael Hughes and Charles Hughes.

We are grateful for the support of her extended Bill W. family. The family would also like to thank Monroe Clinic Hospice for their services and unending hours of care and compassion.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 10, 2011, at St. Clare of Assisi at St. Victor Catholic Church in Monroe with Celebrant Fr. Larry Bakke. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Monroe.

Visitation will be from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 9, at Shriner Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home in Monroe with a Rosary Service at 5:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Marge's name may be made to Monroe Clinic Hospice or to Thomas F. Campion Charitable Fund. Condolences may be sent to the family at shriner111.com.
