MONROE - A Monroe man is scheduled to be sentenced April 21 in Green County Circuit Court after he pleaded guilty to sexual assault Monday.

Steven D. Miller II, 24, pleaded no contest to repeated sexual assault of a child as a repeat offender, a class B felony. He was convicted of burglary in 2002. He faces up to 66 years in prison.

The court dismissed one count of first-degree sexual assault of a child under the age of 13 as a repeat offender, also a class B felony, and causing a child under the age of 13 to view/listen to sexual activity, a class F felony.

He originally faced more than 150 years in prison and up to $25,000 in fines.

Court records indicate that between Jan. 1, 2007, and Oct. 20, 2007, he repeatedly had sexual contact and intercourse with a 5-year-old girl.

He remains jailed on a $5,000 cash bond and a $20,000 signature bond.
