MONROE - A man who violated his Huber work-release privileges on Thursday, Jan. 5 has been located and taken into custody by the Green County Sheriff's Department.

Jeffrey W. Walters, 53, left the Green County Jail at 8:30 a.m. Thursday to apply for a job and didn't return three hours later as agreed, and a warrant was issued for his arrest for charges of escape.

An investigation led law enforcement to a residence in Orfordville, where he was arrested at 3:30 p.m. and then returned to the Green County Jail.
