Man arrested after tractor hits house

MONROE - No one was injured in a tractor accident at about 7 p.m. Saturday on Lewis Road. Deputies report a 1953 McCormick Farmall Super M tractor driven by Richard C. Lewis, turned onto Lewis Road when it entered a private driveway and hit a parked truck owned by Vicki J. Novak, 56, Argyle. The tractor then hit a parked vehicle owned by Herbert J. Bates, 51, Albany. The tractor then hit a house owned by Novak and John G. Schaid, Argyle. Lewis was arrested for driving under the influence, driving with a prohibited alcohol concentration, failure to maintain control of a vehicle and open intoxicants. He was released pending court. Novak's vehicle received extensive damage; Bates' vehicle received moderate damage; and the house received damage to the siding.
