PRINEVILLE, Oregon - Madge Kilzer York, 61, and her husband, Daniel, 63, died Dec. 1, 2008 in a tragic auto accident near Bend, Oregon.
She was born Aug. 26, 1947 in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Frank Kilzer and Caroline Hartwig. She became part of the Fandrick family when Caroline married Frank Fandrick in 1951. She moved with her family to the Clarno area in 1960. She graduated from Monroe High School in 1965 and from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where she met and married Daniel in May 1970.
Madge and Daniel moved to Prineville, Oregon in 1971. Madge was proud to be a speech therapy teacher in the regional school system for many years. Daniel was a retired attorney.
Madge is survived by her mother, Caroline Fandrick, Brodhead; half-brother, Richard Fandrick, Clarno; step-brother, Frank (Janice) Fandrick, Richardson, Texas; and step-sister, Judy Cox (Tom), Rockford, Ill.
Funeral services are pending in Prineville, Oregon.
